Ok before reading the entire thread, i want to simply ask which is the best nvidia card for your money?

I'm looking to upgrade my pc w/ my tax return money, looking to get an amd phenom ii black edition x4 3.4ghz processor to go together with it.

Was looking for a great nvidia card as i am very loyal to nvidia and looking for a great power supply to go together with it.

Gtx570 releases tomorrow morning, can order on newegg now. If you can afford it, get it.

    I just sold my 480 and am debating between a 580 or 2 570s

What great timing, lol. Thing is i won't be getting my tax return for a bit so i'm just awaiting to see what's coming up by then. What about the power supply to go along with it? Any recommendations, and i would go for a single gpu, what would be a great alternative for sli?

Also, what brand for nvidia is recommended? I always went with BFG but it seems like they don't exist anymore. only other brand i'm familiar w/ good cards are asus, evga and pny.

    Thanks.

Personally I prefer EVGA and MSI typically. 750w PSU is MORE than enough to power a single 570 as well. EVGA I think offers lifetime warranty's for like 20-30$, but a lot of things void the warranty's. Still, it's lifetime.

If you wait a week or so, the new amd cards are scheduled to release. Should force nvidia to drop their prices slightly, if at all, and the amd cards might perform better for the price you are looking for.

Decided to go with a single EVGA GTX570, price is great and I can afford it along w/ my other PC parts. Hopefully prices will go down slightly by the time I get my tax return.

Building a whole new computer and giving my current gaming rig to my fiance.
