5770 + 650W PSU - $200 AR
Thanks for all the input. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this build. Is it reasonable to assume that prices on some of these components will drop by Sept?

There might be some slight drops here and there. However, I would just keep an eye out for special deals around holidays. Like... Labor day weekend should net some good deals on newegg, at the very least, free shipping. They usually have deals on all types of PC components.
Not to burst your bubble, but you'll lag if you're going to play it on 1080p with that rig.
You need to consider overclocking your CPU to 3.4+ since FFXIV is very CPU intensive, and might want to consider an SSD for your OS + XIV as well.
It will help you with the in-game loading (seamless game though).
From what people can tell, just from the benchmarks, this game isn't optimized yet. Who knows if and when that it will be optimized.
well it's a good thing that his build changed throughout the thread lol. Also, hardly think you can fit an SSD with a $600 budget. idk how much different OCing a non BE version cpu will be, but my PII 940 goes to 3.4 pretty easily.
