The Free Apps/Utility thread only has two links for firewalls, so I figured I'd just ask here and get some opinions.
Basically, I've been using ZoneAlarm fine for the past few years, but like AVG, the program has gotten to the point of being bloated, intrusive, and installing additional shit I don't want (such as a ZoneAlarm bar/extension in Firefox without asking), as well as running new process (recently for me, I just updated it a month ago from an older version) running in the background that's been causing conflicts to the point where I'll boot up my PC sometimes and it just remains frozen once it hits the desktop.
All I want is a basic firewall that requires me to authorize apps to be able to send/receive network traffic, and keeps a log of access attempts, along with being able to whitelist IP addresses so I can easily LAN games with no fussing about.
