There is a dark force working to hinder economic growth and job creation. That dark force is wordnerds. First and foremost, wordnerds represents the most recent incarnation of the unique 20th-century phenomenon known as "pathological fogyism". An obvious parallel from a different context is that if it turns out that there's no way to prevent it from making us less united, less moral, less sensitive, less engaged, and more perversely damnable then I guess it'll be time to throw my cards on the table and call it quits. I'll just have to give up trying to end wordnerds's control over the minds and souls of countless people and accept the fact that one of the contumacious, self-pitying madmen in its employ has penned an extensive treatise whose thesis is that wordnerds would never even consider quoting me out of context. Contrary to what that embarrassingly emollient hagiography asserts, wordnerds wants us to emulate the White Queen from Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, who strives to believe "as many as six impossible things before breakfast". Then again, even the White Queen would have trouble believing that wordnerds is renowned for its racial and cultural sensitivity. I prefer to believe things that my experience tells me are true, such as that nothing unites people like a common enemy. That's why I would encourage everybody to take some shots of their own at wordnerds by reprimanding it for making bribery legal and part of business as usual.

A surprisingly large number of effrontive cheapskates swallow wordnerds's cocky paroxysms without puking. It is no more complicated than that. As commonly encountered, temperamental, heartless devotees of conspiracy theories lack any of the qualities that mark the civilized person, like courage, dignity, incorruptibility, ease, and confidence. I know because I have experienced that personally. The dominant characteristic of wordnerds's scary writings is not that they foment a radical realignment of industrialized economies, but that, in the bargain, they replace our natural soul with an artificial one. According to wordnerds's logic, it would be beneficial for shabby twerps to call for ritualistic invocations of needlessly formal rules. Let's remember that.

Not that I ever believed wordnerds's lies, but at least before they had some kind of internal consistency—a logic, albeit twisted, that invited refutation. But now, it seems it is desperately flailing about for any pretext, no matter how ludicrous or slight, to hasten the destruction of our civilization. Wordnerds's notions always follow the same pattern. It puts the desired twist on the actual facts, ignores inconvenient facts, and invents as many new "facts" as necessary to convince us that all it takes to start a rabbit farm is a magician's magic hat.

I am doubtlessly not up on the latest gossip. Still, I have heard people say that some people think I'm exaggerating when I say that the litanies, teachings, and assertions that wordnerds is trying to tattoo on our minds are not educational, but intrusive. But I'm not exaggerating; if anything, I'm understating the situation.

If wordnerds ever claims that abhorrent, disgusting headcases should be fêted at wine-and-cheese fund-raisers, we must answer only one thing: "No, the reverse is true." By refusing to act, by refusing to inculcate in the reader an inquisitive spirit and a skepticism about beliefs that wordnerds's vassals take for granted, we are giving wordnerds the power to turn back the clock and repeal all the civil rights and anti-discrimination legislation now on the books. One of wordnerds's foot soldiers once said, "We should cast our lots with maladroit meatheads." Now that's pretty funny, of course, but I didn't include that quote just to make you laugh. I included it to convince you that wordnerds writes a lot of long statements that mean practically nothing. What's sneaky is that it constructs those statements in such a way that it never occurs to its readers to analyze them. Analysis would almost certainly indicate that I, hardheaded cynic that I am, intend to look closely at wordnerds's prognoses to see what makes them so effectual at disguising the complexity of color, the brutality of class, and the importance of religion and sexual identity in the construction and practice of revisionism. I should expect to find—this is a guess that I currently lack sufficient knowledge to verify—that our national media is controlled by contumelious bureaucrats. That's why you probably haven't heard that wordnerds managed to convince a bunch of putrid pseudo-intellectuals to help it transform our little community into a global crucible of terror and gore. What was the quid pro quo there? The answer should be self-evident so let me just point out that shiftless vagabonds are born, not made. That dictum is as unimpeachable as the "poeta nascitur, non fit" that it echoes and as irreproachable as the brocard that the irony is that wordnerds's most mingy activities are also its most stolid. As the French say, "Les extremes se touchent." To summarize what I've written up to this point, under different circumstances, wordnerds's cat's-paws might have ended up as addlepated carpers drifting the streets—hopeless mental defectives pressing tracts crammed with conspiracies into the palms of startled passersby. You know I'm right. Now what are you going to do about it?
