Just came back from break so am brand new to Abyssea. Can I warp out of Abyssea any time and keep the time I have stored up? Or do I need to go give back Visitant Status or w/e? Currently have 3 stones, if that matters.

Only time you're penalized is if you have less than 5 minutes left I think

I know there are some improvements, but are there any improvements other then Firmament +1, Ire Torque/+1, STR+3 earrings, Flame/STR+6 rings, Heafoc mitts, teutatus subligar? I was thinking of trying out the neck piece that I can put +10 VIT enchantment on (Memento Muffler).

Auditory Torque will match or exceed Memento Muffler and it's quite easy to get these days.

Should be fine on defense for most things, look into Vulcan's/Brave as it should improve your numbers on most targets if you aren't TPing off weak mobs between casts.

It's actually kinda rare that I get songs/rolls. Normally I do TP on the monster we fight between my Cannonballs. This is the job I normally come on to Abyssea NMs, and I'm having a blast playing it, so I just wanted to make sure nothing has changed with required defense.

Can SAM/DNC solo Behemoth with Soboro Sukehiro + evasion?

Easily, though I'd consider sword/shield on Yilbegan as his defense seems to be rather high.

It seems odd to me that cure cast time would be tiered while no other spell is? Regardless of that, Fast Cast caps at 50% afaik, but celerity breaks that cap afaik, so shouldn't even be in this discussion.

It really depends on gear though what's worth it. Personally, I wouldn't pay 5-6mil for that piece of shit necklace. That being said, I do have cure cast time merits, but I can almost cap cure cast time anyway with:

Boots - 15%
Light Arts - 10% // RDM Sub - 15%
Earring - 2%
Merits - 20%
= 47% /sch, cap 50% /rdm.

As for merits, it's really up to you, if you have all the fast cast gear (and want to waste gil on that neck...) you can almost cap fast cast without merits (5% Jubbah/ACP, 2% back, 10% neck), putting you 6% short as /sch, or 1.5 merits short.

Really in the end, it's up to you, I would aim for 50%, or as close to it as you can, however (merits, boots, then earring+back or body).

Yeah, not gonna spend money on Choker, and nobody really does WoE anyways so I doubt I'll see one on Fenrir ever anyways. I'd probably have better luck getting a FC augmented neck from Abyssea.

When you get to those kinds of cast speeds, I strongly doubt that gear swaps can be reliably made to benefit from both a Fast Cast body AND Noble's/Aristocrat's. In a laggy situation (Einherjar or Abyssea, Dynamis I suppose), that's going to be magnified.

Another reason to keep Cure cast 5/5, just incase it doesn't kick in you still get the 30% from merits and light arts~

I've been kicked from server about one hour and half ago and been unable to connect ever since. FF14 beta client unable to check version as well, playonline.com works, but is really slow. right after the first ship if you enter from the general direction of azouph staging point, there are about a dozen pops
