    Trial 86: Quicksand Caves on Sand Lizards if it's summer... there's only about 10 or so of them, and four are behind a "weight lock" door, but fire appears here frequently during the summer months. One of the four behind the door can be pulled without opening the door, if you can manage to target it... Chi Blast works, and "Fillmode" helps a little. Fire weather seems pretty reliable most summer days starting as early as 9:30ish and usually ending between 16:00 and 16:30...

    Don't waste your time in Quicksands on Firesday. Head to Kuftal Tunnel or Cape Teriggan, where the pops are much more generous. YMMV in Teriggan... it's a hell hole of shitty players doing FoV 24/7 on my server.


    Trial 87: Not sure why you're asking, since it's 200 Wamouras on Firesday or Fire Weather. What options do you have? And I can tell you it's going to suck no matter what; I'm on this trial right now... Wamoura Princes / Wamouracampas work for this, FYI.

    There are DCs in Halvung around H-4 on Map 1. I attempted to solo one, and wound up dying at 6%... the thing barely hit me, but I died to a combination of Blaze Spikes for 50-60 per hit and the fact that they have absurd defense, meaning you need to hit it more... I would have survived if I was /DNC - but even then it would take forever to take them down.

    There are high-DC/Low-Ts in Mt.Zhayolm - but they're not very soloable... MNK & RDM could duo, but it'd still go kinda slow... I honestly suggest a party of six to make this less excruciating.

    Waiting for weather on these really just isn't worth it - especially fire weather - since it rarely shows up, and when it does, it's for 20 minutes or so, tops.

    I hate doing it, but I'm definitely gonna be prodding the LS for help on this bullshit. >.>

    You could also do the Wamoura Farm Raid assault - again, just plan it on Firesday... hopefully you could get two full clears in one Firesday? I don't know honestly... I have a feeling that might be the best bet... at least helpers are getting some reward other than "maybe some skill up and crappy XP"...

    Magnatus is the high damage one (Armageddon path), like lolwut said AF2 or Deadeye gloves are a cheap alternative, you can also look into Enkidu hands if you do ZNMs (don't bother if you don't, easier to get crimson). Aurore gloves give 4 agi too if you're really starving for alternatives (but you might want them for quick draw anyways).
    Second melee ring you want one with accuracy: so toreador/sniper+1 > sniper/woodsman > ecphoria/jaeger.

    Alright, that's much better thanks. :D Almost done. But, AF+1 what can I put there til I get the limbus items? And AF2 hands I can't get til I start doing dyna and deadeye are 300k, is there anything else I can use there? And Harness I can't get til I rank high enough, so need a temp place holder.

    Also this is gonna sound noobish but why warwolf for slug? I'm assuming for STR?

    Extremely wishful thinking on your part. You can count on that being a "no."

    You only get the effect of Atma placed on you by an Atma Infusionist, inside Abyssea, and it is supposed to essentially be that "vivification" effect that the NPCs describe happens to us when we enter Abyssea. Absolutely no reason that Atma would work outside of it.

    For Trial 87, you're pretty much hooped on weather. It's almost never Fire Weather in Mount Z or Halvung. 80 Mnk/Nin with Chi Blast (Penance) i was able to solo the roaches. They'd only get one TP move off each fight a little under 50% if i didn't get hit. If it did happen to be blaze spikes, i was pretty much looking at 500-700 hp loss. So my ability to fight without resting was entirely contingent on them using Cannonball. I don't think going /Dnc would be any better because you'd assuredly be getting hit more and feeding them more TP. And considering you're losing nearly 100 hp per attack round, it's hard for Waltz to keep up. You just want to kill them as fast as possible once they use spikes.

    The plus is, at least on my server, quite often there's Nin's, War's or Blu's there working on trials who will team up with you. But even if you are killing fast, there's only 11 spawns at that camp and with 16 minute repops, you're going to max out at about 40 per day. Two things to note if you are at the H4 camp. One, on the way to the camp there's a true sight named Farlarder the Shrewd or something that you have to avoid. Two, in the middle of the camp there's a Flan NM that aggroes JAs and sight. Quite often the roaches are clustered around him. So to pull them you will need either one of those trollbane weapons or kurayami: ichi.

    It's for the str. Cor str is so low, and our ratk options are few, so str where you can fit it in will always be beneficial once your acc is up to par.

    AF feet nq are still your best bet for feet, Scorpion Harness or Aurore doublet are both decent placeholders while you're working towards Cobra. Aurore may be a better use of your money since it doubles as a /ra piece.

    Do you actually have spellcast downloaded? It's a specific .dll you can download from windower.net If it's in your plugin folder it should load fine from either the windower command window (my control is set to insert) or you can type //load spellcast from your chat bar.

    North Gustaberg, while no weather, has a ton of lizards near Leaping Lizzy with 5 minute respawns, which you should be able to complete 86 within a day with at least one person's help (I know I've done 82 vermin in a day at least).

    Wamouras are in Mt. Z and you don't really have any other option than killing them there. The little curly bugs/campas also count so you don't need to go after the big moths.

    Yeah, that's what I thought. And I'll use AF until AF+1 or Skadi. And Aurore can get with Cruor so that's good.

    This just applies to inside Halvung, right? Mt.Z has 5 minute repops, doesn't it?

    I started to lvl DNC (currently 72) and am looking at some weapon combos

    for a PT where I only neeed/am able/can heal I thought about:
    magian dagger atk 2-3 times + joytoy (or if possible maybe magian occ attack 1-2)

    for PT where I can also WS some times:
    magian dagger atk 2-3 times + ?

    any advices from good dncs?

    I was soloing T1 VNM today and not getting any experience or merit points. Other people in alliance in other zones were getting xp. Any ideas on what wrong?

    Yes. All outdoor areas have 5 minute repops for normal mobs. Dungeons/etc have 16 minutes for most mobs, with some having 11 (or 12? idr too lazy to check), which were lowered years ago, mostly common exp targets.

    The defense down Kila is a great option for dancer 39/195 +def down. It's Basically the best DPS you can get from any of the daggers available save empyrean.

    The defense down proc's effectiveness will vary depending on what mob you're fighting, but assuming you can keep it up half the time on a EM+ mob you'll likely get higher returns than the attack on the fire path, which will also be effective for anyone else attacking the mob.

    IMO, the def down Kila is basically the epitome of how you should play dancer as a DD - pretty good damage coupled with awesome support. The OA2-3 is likely your best offhand for more things you'll do since you're always going to be TP dependent. Were you to be full timing saber dance I would suggest getting a fusetto (either evisceration damage or STP depending on your fancy). In super TP dependent situations you can still use joy, but once you get an OAX dagger there's not as much benefit to using it (plus your sword skill sucks more now).

    For MMM, your best bet is to use Rune 6, but I doubt you'll be able to get more than 8 to pop since it usually splits up the mob families pretty evenly - 6 bees, 6 beetles, 6 wamouras etc.

    If POL is being a bitch and crashing me out once I attempt to log in to a character, can I just delete a ton of files from the directory to make check files replace them? >_>

    Don't want to completely uninstall so looking for alternatives.

    Warrior is closing in on 75 and I've currently go no hecatomb. What should I be using in my head/hands/feet slot for RR/KJ until I can get my hands on some hecatomb? Rutters, askar head, e.hands maybe?
