Soloing brooder on rdm, I assume its just pop, run to wall to pin, dot?
Is there time to nuke, and how long should I expect it to take?
Decent but far from perfect nuking gear, mainly interested in what I should be concerned about.

Pretty much. Sometimes he can pop far from a good spot which can be a pain. I've only duoed it but my duo partner soloed it several times /NIN. Guessing you're sitting on cuisses though so you should be ok. All the normal sensible stuff like HP/MP/Stat enhancements and meds will make it straightforward. I'd allow 20-30.

Yes but they easier to solo/duo outside of the tree, and you can kill them a lost faster being that they are only EP.

There's a number of good fences that work well over by the birds (E6ish, which is roughly where it seems to always pop. I don't even know where to begin describing how to find any of them, but there's like 5 different ones that work well, so i'm sure you can find one.

If you don't want to do Lesser Colibri, you could kill bats in Bostanieux Oubliette.

right now i just changed my graphics to 4096x 4096 for the first time. Is there a difference between 2048 x 2048 and 4096x 4096 or is it the same graphically and one just stresses my system more for no real reason?

My jobs are SAM, PLD, RDM, NIN, BST.

Thanks to Abyssea, I am almost out of where to put merits and I didn't want to touch magic ones (besides Enfeebling 8/8, of course) but now I probably have to.

I was thinking about Elemental 8/8 or Enhancing 8/8 (for RDM + PLD Phalanx?) but I am not so sure. Ninjutsu 8/8 may be another option but I don't play NIN that often.

I know stuff is situational and all that, but what would some of you guys do about it?

(btw, I play SAM (/NIN?) most, RDM and PLD sometimes, NIN and BST seldom, but I do play those too and enjoy them).

Only if your res is set to 2048x2048. Set your bg res to 2x your res, no more, no less (unless you want to set it to the same as your res, that's fine). Setting it to anything in between 1-2x that isn't exactly equal, or double your res will make it look worse, and setting it to 4x will also make it look worse than 2x.

Enhancing merits were never all that good, and are even worse now, since enhancing spells cap at 300 for potency (still get more macc for enspells though), which is easy to get at 80. 1-2 extra for phalanx on pld is not even close to being worth losing 16 macc on nukes.

While the DPS wasn't listed, Neosutra answered this in another thread, and it was reposted earlier in this one too.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong. 6hit of the 420 delay GK should be pretty high up there as well. I'm fairly sure a lot of the 5hit GKs should be ahead of the base dmg masamune anyways. Would love to see some math comparing them all.

I hadn't included the Schathacha in that original spread due to not being found at that point. Should easily beat the 5 hit Kento as well, and obviously the 6 hit Radenotachis.
