Brooder might be soloable but your waltz timer will be tied up in Healing Waltz fairly often. Depends on how well an eva set works. Yearner might be as well, seems like you could just range TP moves over and over and spin the wheel but I don't know how much damage that actually puts out.

Brooder is definitely soloable by NIN. Guy in my LS tried it after turning his T1 one day, with ~20 mins left, and timed out at like 40%. I'm not 100% positive on the specifics, but I know that he got it to 40% without real problems.

I know it's Rajas and nothing else, but, would it be wrong to use the STP GKT in place of Rajas?

SAM is my only DD and I have Rajas for it. But, I also have RDM BLM and WHM, where Tamas can be used. I know the reason for Rajas was mainly because of the STP. To make 6 hit.

I'm not big on the math, but with the lvl increase, it seems accuracy is less of a concern. So, losing the 5 DEX doesn't hurt. I can wear a STR ring in it's place, if losing the 5 STR affects fSTR. The Subtle Blow seems like just a bonus to me and not something you gear for.

My SAM is geared decently (http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/33860), but, I rarely use it. I'm mostly a mage for whatever events I do.

So, would dropping Rajas for Tamas be bad?

You wont be getting a good 5 hit without major fucking sacrifices without Rajas, and there is no reason to use the stp GK without a 5 hit.

I should have clarified a bit more. I'm not trying for 5 hit. I'd just be using the STP GKT to maintain 6 hit. Since, I use SAM so rarely, even though Rajas is better, I get very little use out of it. Where, I'd use Tamas nearly everyday.

Yes, and I was very clear: If you're not getting a 5 hit, you should'nt be using the stp GK. It's inferior to even Hagun without a 5 hit. Hell, grab an AH GK before using the stp GK as a 6 hit >.>.

And honestly, if you're not going to play the job, don't gear it up. If you are, play it right. Your mages can get around having an MP ring for initial idle, then swapping to int/mnd rings. Your DD jobs will never have a Rajas ring alternative (for now).

How often can the puppet nuke? What determines the spell it uses? Whats the damage formula for puppet nukes and what do they roughly currently cap at?

you need +35 STP total (including the gkt) to get a 5 hit. Would need to WS in all that STP gear as well to keep 5 hit.

Depends on the attachments and maneuvers. Blm head casts every 27 seconds by default. Usually people are doing a max potency setup which adds 5 seconds to that recast timer. It will cast the highest tier nuke that it thinks will be unresisted (it knows what elements mobs have high resistance to). It will prioritize drain and aspir over nukes though once it gets even slightly low on HP or MP. The damage formula is the same as a blm, automatons can just get a ton of magic attack bonus to make up for the lack of staff bonus. Max potency stone V damage is somewhere around 2200 against normal low int targets assuming no random augment pet MAB gear.

Been trying to get Ghrah M Chips for a Fort pop, taking Ghrahs solo as SCH in the palace. In 2 hours I got no chips after killing many Ghrahs and had to give up and do something IRL. Is there any better way to farm these chips (other than getting more people and going faster) or is it really that ridiculous? Like, are the Garden Ghrahs any better for droprate, or certian forms or elements of Ghrahs that drop the chips?

I wish I could just get them from UpJueuno bazaar but there hasn't been any for a week since I started looking.
