Probably odd but, I've been playing PLD more often and I'm wondering if it would be beneficial wearing a buckler or a round shield in some instances where you're /NIN and burning through shadows faster? Just to help if you're in a situation where you need to recast Ichi or something.
I've seen one or two people doing this, and I haven't really kept up on what's going on with PLD playstyles lately. Just curious to see if its some larger practice that I don't know about.
Can someone show me how they set up Parade Gorget rules in their PLD spellcast xml? What rules to write to unequip it after it doesn't meet the >HP85%.
What's a decent Pyrrich Kleos and a Evisceration set for DNC?
Does he haste cap apply to total delay reduction, or to haste specifically? I've seen people whose opinions I respect claim different things.
To illustrate with some rough numbers:
If the cap is on total delay reduction, a DNC using Auric/kila (201+190=391 total base delay), Charis necklace, and DW Mirke (43% dual wield total) would have a total delay after dual wield of 223. 20% of the original base delay would be 79. It would then only take 64.5% haste in order to reach a delay reduction cap of 80%. With 10% from haste samba and 43.75% from haste and double soul voice march, it would only take 12% haste gear in order to reach this cap in a zerg situation. If this is the case, it will drastically alter the way I gear myself for zergs.
I know I know, working on it. Rog, you're pretty well-versed in Spellcast and have been helpful in my knowledge seeking lately, do you mind posting your RDM xml for me to take a look at? Don't know if you have DD or a tank, but those'd be helpful too. I'm starting to config my xml's for DD's first since it's easiest, but RDM and PLD are gonna be giving me nightmares.
My rdm xml is so inefficient it isn't even worth posting.
Can try this one.

I hear Stanislav's on the windower forum is good, I've tried to keep simple
Prefer ApRadar by far.
How I do it is I define a variable "IdleNeck" and in all sets where I would put Gorget, put it as <neck>$IdleNeck</neck>.
Then you just need standard <if> conditions, like
<if HPPGT="85">
<action type="var" cmd="set IdleNeck Parade Gorget" />
</if>
<else>
<action type="var" cmd="set IdleNeck Orochi Nodowa" />
</else>
for instance. Apparently Gorget ignores some slots when calculating max HP so another alternative (though less flexible) is to define a HP amount, or one which varies between subjobs. Then can use
<if HPGT="$%SubJobHP"> ... with the same conditions (assuming you label the variables NINHP BLUHP etc). Easiest one is the first suggestion.
Okay, I have a question. It sounds obvious at the surface and I'm probably dumb and it's probably obvious at its extremities too.
How is critical hit bonus damage calculated? Is the whole damage multiplied by it at the end, is the pdif boost of 1 multiplied by the modifier, orrr something else?
(for reference, 3% crit damage mantle vs Forager's for SA/TA debating in my mind).
Thanks!
Any one know the latent on Fatality Belt?
