Good place to do Birds (SF) x75 in fire Weather ? Cocks in Cape Terrigan are good when theres fire, but I'm wondering if theres place with more weather. I haven't been to Ifrit's Cauldron in forever so I can't remember how often weather is there.
What is the best mage job combo to level on alt? Main has Sam, Thf, & Blm leveled, and I really only want to level one job on the alt, so I figured it might be worth asking before I get too far along. I'm thinking Rdm with all subjobs?
Let's assume I don't ask people for help, ever. Would you think Rdm or Brd? Never leveled Brd so I don't know it well outside of a 6 or 18 person party/alliance/rotation etc.
I believe his point is that you sacrifice attack for acc in other slots anyway. It isn't entirely relevant, Cerb+1 vs Cuch is technically the same exchange rate, but larger scale and you pick up 4 Dex which may help your crit rate on EP mobs.
Bottom line of the advice this far is:
1: Use shinobi ring and see if you can make a force set
2: Use swift if you need Acc
3: Maybe consider the Tern set until you get a better belt
4: I am still unconvinced by your offhand weapon choice. Jin isn't anything special. What are the stats? It seems likely to me that an atk/ str katana would be better for you overall.
Does it have to be weather, or can it be Firesday as well?
If it can be done on Firesday, just slaughter Colibri near the Leypoint.
If not, there's really no "good" place to do it. Maybe bats in Den of Rancor or Ifrit's - but that weather is going to be annoyingly rare.
OAT katana is ok, but either Sekka is significantly better when the attack or accuracy bonuses are fully realized (e.g., when not killing mobs level 40 and below), even if Blade: Jin were nominally a 4- or 5-hit WS (or a good katana WS comes out someday).
Many fire-based, damage-oriented Magian weapons are the best of the non-Empyreans, and katana isn't an exception.
This is highly dependant on your support. Ninja gets berserk, and should have 0 issues getting away with red curry on older content. In current abysseas, stalwarts will cap accuracy when active, and pizza will still cap on most mobs(crapaudy come to mind as an exception). Tack on minuets or chaos, as well as Atma of the Stout Arm(or Voracious Violet if near cap), and you're getting nothing from attack. I'd say if geared properly, whenever berserk is up you'll be getting nothing from a fire Sekka.
I think that is why he qualified it with "when you get the full benefits." Regardless, it is unclear to me that the STP katana would even outdo getting 2 fSTR from the Str katana. It has 15 more delay, so less of his damage comes from kikoku, and lolJin.
I would love to see NIN become a powerhouse some day, but they need more dual wield and about a 6-hit crit or 8-hit ws.
Sekka: still higher damage, still lower delay, still fSTR (or possibly an additional 1% to critical hit rate) even without accuracy +15 or attack +19. Then comparing it to OAT would be more a wash. OAT's WS frequency advantage is further eroded the higher the combination of haste and DW.
How many people are needed to kill the Yearner in Abyssea-Tahrongi?
Two should be plenty as long as you avoid getting hit with Murk simultaneously (if bouncing hate; if one person's kiting then it's a nonissue and you just erase the kiter quickly). Depending on Murk's range and possibly your movement+ or lack thereof he might be safely soloable.
Are all the golems in Ro'maeve behind the moongate? wiki lists 11 pops, I found 2, both on that inaccessible bridge, one withing ranged attack range. Doing this for magian trial. And does that bridge get accessible under any conditions? Never needed to know this before...
Best path (either way) for Chocobo Riding Game between Windy and Sandy?
