Does arguing to not give someone a <20k drop from a gold casket because their logic was stupid count?

I think arguing with random people over gold casket drops is the most fun part of Abyssea Exp. Like literally everyone has their own different argument that's tailor made to suit themselves.

Err.. I think he was asking about Great Swords. As I understand it, Great Swords are the weapon of choice in low-Attack, High-Defense situations where the cRatio boost on Ground Strike/Spinning Slash outweighs the general awesomeness of Guillotine. Specifically, they're kind of relics from a time when DDs didn't get BRDs or CORs and used to be useful for SATA WSing because the WSs are single hits. We're moving away from situations like that as a game with the level cap increase. Personally, I wouldn't bother to do a labor intensive Magian GS even if DRK was my main.

Strong candidates are:
* D96, 5% DA, 480 Delay GS
* D70ish Multi-hit 480 delay GS
-- If you have a ways to 6-hit them (STP body probably required). These are fairly labor intensive. I wouldn't do them. The 5% DA GS really isn't that bad relative to other weapons like that (mob types are really easy), but Quetzalli is still an unknown.

*Ground Strike GS
-- If you only use GS with Ground Strike, obviously the Ground Strike GS is a strong candidate. It's pretty easy to get.

* STR/ATK Great Sword
-- If you're only using GS in situations where you really need Attack, then this GS would help your DoT. However, it should be noted that the Attack likely won't do a lot for your WSs.

I used the Bibiki Bay Tragopan camp. They all spawn right very close to one another, and Signet's bonus against Even Match and below works nicely. Pull them back a smidgen to avoid links.

a.) 5-hit build with 16% haste (swift belt, not /drg for this comparison)

Not sure what augments to get on Tatsumaki Sitagoromo.

I've had Blitzers for Sam for the longest time, but redoing ASA since I should have the new boots for Sam within a day or 2. Anyway, I have every job that can wear Tatsu, no w-legs, do have gaiters but also have both Serpentes pieces, so I'm kinda wanting to idle in serpentes. Do not have Nashira legs (though trying to buy em atm).

Should I do runspeed/PDT, runspeed/haste, runspeed/curepotency, or am I totally wrong and I should keep trying for wlegs (we do your pop your drop Kirins occasionally, they just never drop for me) and use gaiters on the other mage jobs and forget my refresh tick?

Really torn and dunno what to do

Should definitely keep trying for W.legs. I'd idle in Tatsu + Serpentes and keep Gaiters with your PDT macro (for running away). Make some kind of annoying /party chat macro to accompany the minor increase in running speed when you wear PDT. I'm a fan of "JUMPING TO WARP SPEED. SEE YOU SUCKAS!" but to each his own.

So if your Gaiters are with your PDT set and you have Goliard legs, you might as well get Cure Potency on your Tatsumaki Sitagoromo.

Get wlegs, and make a macro to equip gaiters.

Torn between DRG (because I enjoy the job and it's useful as a hard-hitting 2H DD, which I don't actually have yet--closest is SAM which I dropped at 66 'cuz I'm silly) and some other jobs that I enjoy a little less but are MUCH harder to get invites on--specifically, BST and BLU.

1. What would to level in my situation? DRG is fairly desirable these days, so it seems like a waste to use my free ticket on it. XD I've always wanted BST (I don't even know why tbh) but hate trying to solo it. And the pocket ballads for BLU seem tasty.

2. In case of party BST, is there a resource for good jug pets for party use? There's a list of jug pets on otherwiki, but it doesn't actually tell me anything about the pets other than level range--I don't see anything that discusses actual DD potential.

I think the tiger pets are your most powerful ones for quite some time.
