Looking for info on windower scripts (always use spellcast, so never used other scripts).
Was wanting to make a script that would basically be:
//equip ammo XXX
//ra <stpc>
/wait XXX
repeat indefinitely until I stopped it...
What would be the exact coding for this in the file? Where would the file be stored? What would be the method for execution/ending the script?
Just tried Brooder with NIN/WAR, SCH/WHM (for haste), and SMN/WHM (came last minute to help). Been reading and it sounded like an easy fight... but it double attacked too much for shadow timers and then hit like a truck. I'm not sure what we could have done differently, any ideas for different strats? Other than "don't suck"? I'm also afraid this one may have been "HQ" since it was so difficult, but I would like to plan for any instance.
Yes, the Brooder had SCH paralyze and slow on it. It was still attacking way too fast. Idk, maybe Slow II would make the difference?
Brooder's manaburnable, pull to a fence and kite.
//exec name.txt to loop it. Be aware that looping scripts like that can crash pol (for some people? not sure if it happens for all pcs, but it does for mine, and at least a few other people i know) eventually. You might be able to get around that by using
alias ra input /equip ammo xx; /ra <t>; wait X; ra;
though i can't confirm if that'd avoid the crash issue since i've never tried it, but i'd imagine so.
input /equip ammo "Blah";
input /ra <stpc>;
pause X;
Copypasta that several times. Though if you want it to repeat <t> might be better.
Name it XXX.txt or whatever, store it in the scripts folder or make a subfolder there.
Then make the macro or type //exec Blah.txt or if you put it in a folder //exec Folder/XXX.txt
Store FILENAME in Windower/Scripts and type //exec FILENAME when in game.Code:input /equip ammo XXX; input /ra <stpc>; pause XXX; exec FILENAME;
Not sure about stopping it, maybe just CTRL-C or Break. Windower scripting wiki probably has that answer.
Also, what rog said about looping.
They aren't, tested and proven by yours truly and a friend of mine twice over. 100% confirmed dances do not use conserve tp, only weaponskills.
If you have any other job that can use it, go with PDT + walts timer- combined with potencies and cost-
All combined you can just sit and spam waltz 1/2 over and over and get max benefit. Very good soloing pants.
Then just macro the pants in for your dancer when you don't have hate.

can probably go without the first wait, but idk. skillupcore is really fantastic, especially for enfeebles or w/e in sea. has built-in anti gm protection (stops when you get a tell) but you can just tweak the main file to disable this. cheersalias skillup_file exec rattack.txt

Is there a cap on Enmity-? If so, do we know if there's a distinction between gear Enmity- and merits or job abilities?
Caps at -50 including merits, not sure about JA breaking it or not.

I linked my acct to SE as was necessary to take advantage in that Bonanza a little while ago (I have no Token) ... Everything is fine for me, however I am not able to log on at from my friends PS (coincidently, his acct is not linked as he still uses the Playonline acct/password) ... Before I linked my acct, i was able to log in from his PS3 just fine
How do i log in on my friends PS now?? Does he need to link his acct to SE also? Or what do I do to allow me to log in from his location?

I thought I remembered reading a couple weeks ago that at 80 cap you'd need less fire resist for tiamat/sarameya etc.
What are the current accepted amounts that you need? Planning on gearing up my mule for Tiawatch.
