Yea, ODS would definately be worth a shot, as far as i remember about royal ramble is that those cardigans hit hard, you'd have to blink x2 at once + handling nukes i think would be abit too much.

that said, similiarly for ppl who solo the KC bcnm, is there really not anyone in same situation as you? DNC+anything would make the things tremendously easier for you, and probably more than 1/2 the time taken per (and save potential med requirements)

Its more for the challenge then drops, I have plenty of other resources for money, I'm bored, and have a bunch of KSes so may as well try something.

I guess I'll take a shot at ODS for prep. If that's not too hard I'll find something more hardcore

Base damage on that is really very low, so it really wouldn't be a great pick.

There are more respectable OAT axes from Magian trials, and/or there's Temperance Axe.

Well I just tried it, no dice. The cardians have a super high tp regain and the whm and blm refuse to separate from each other without a second person to pull em apart. If I wanted to fight them Id need to fight all 3 at the same time >.<

Ended up dying to 2 back to back Deal outs for 500 dmg, spammed agas on me wiping shadows and bypassing fan dance, followed by silence and paralyze, combined with an ensilence and enpara on their attacks when I managed to take it off me with healing waltz.

Even with a full evasion build their acc was at about 60~70%, eyeballing it, but it was the constant spell spams that ate up my shadows faster then I could cast.

This one I could definitely duo with a second dancer however, that should be little problem. Hmmm

Royale Ramble, maybe? Haven't done that BC in ages, and don't recall if the WHM Queen melees you. Either way, I'd imagine it wouldn't be awful as long as you don't get a nasty nuke cast on you at a bad time.

The queens don't melee you until their hp is low enough or you're in melee range yourself, like most mage-type mobs. I'd like to see it tried; remember you can build up TP beforehand through No Foot Rise, so could enter with a full 300tp and 5 finishing moves to make life easier.

Are you trying to do it without pinning? With the xarc pin spot you can force it to cast in your leisure and always outrun the ga3s. If you screw up and get hit once or twice it's not a big deal, the only time I've died was getting hit with ga3/black cloud in a row.

Those trees are your friend.

I used the pin spot by the corner and (Not the one where you run through the trees) and always have issues out running Firaga III. The only movement speed I have is ASA legs and I need to hit my Kite macro three times to put them on if they aren't already. Do you just keep him at max distance at all times?

I'm in Ein atm but I'll draw up some pictures for you in a bit. The trees in the back make you capable of controlling when he casts. You'll get used to it very quickly. He almost always rotates fire 4 and firaga 3. Sometimes he'll surprise you but it's very easy to outrun. I also would suggest just setting up a macro set for this that keeps your move speed on full time if you're having issues. I'm not sure if the difference between 8% and 12% will make you get eaten, but I literally only ever get hit with firaga 3 when I'm distracted by something that has nothing to do with this fight.

Standing on the other side of the line will force it to run clockwise. I usually stand about here. You can manage to pin it to the point where it will not even bother to cast on you. Take this time to recover MP if you are struggling.

It will start casting when it rounds the corner on this tree. Use that knowledge to your advantage and you can get a few steps head start on him. I'm not sure the exact time between his spells, I'd guess somewhere around like 30-40 seconds. Maybe someone else will know for sure. Just remember you can force it to not cast on you at all if you need time.

507 bliz3 took it to 82%, so 2.8k

Thing is one of the queens is blm, who likes to use Agas and I think I saw a freeze in their at one point.

In other words if I hadn't engaged the queen first her spells would have crippled me, since spells bypass fan dance, and her agas wipe shadows of course. I saw up to 600~700 from some AoEs in their that I couldn't stun. Trying to deal with that and meleeing the main target would be impossible. For dnc, blm needs to go first, period.

But as I said before, the two queens move together since they spawn side by side, no way to pull them apart without a second person. Thus if you're in melee range of one, you're in melee range of the other. And then the king runs in and you have all 3 on you.

So it's either melee the King and try and survive the spam of AoEs and potential other hard hitting spells that eat up shadows and rape you, or try and kill the blm so you can stun it but tank all 3 at once.

I don't see this being soloable by a semi decent eva build dnc. Blue mage maybe, but dnc not so much since our main weak point is magic, which there is a large abundance of in this KS.

I tried that a bit, no dice. The area is too small to pull it off, only spot that has enough room is the long path from entrance, but once you hit the back end you'd be fucked.
