I just got back in the game after a 3 month break and I just hit 80 SAM last night, still using a Hagun, which of the TotM Great Katanas should I go after first? Thanks in advance.

I'd go the Store TP Keitonotachi route. Even if you don't have Usukane you can keep your regular 6-hit build (minus 1 STP) with sword strap and it would beat Hagun in overall DoT by a small amount and you'll have it ready for when you DO get Usu (if you're working on it). If you DO have usukane then definitely. 5-hit it and you're golden. For people like me that don't have Usu and don't intend to get it either, the STR+Attack path is really good too, if not better.

Pixies in La Theine might be worthwhile to XP on... I was killing Ts solo without taking damage, and duoed several VTs without taking damage.

In about 20 mobs total, only one used Cyclonic Turmoil or w/e... which was like 600 damage.

And on the flip side of the coin - fucking AVOID Funguars... I've had no issues with Ephemeral Limule/Clionids, Manticores, Wivres, Pixies, Gigas, Ahrimans, T1 VNMs, Akash, Bhumi, Pavan... soloed all of them up to T with no issues, and rarely taking damage at all as MNK/NIN.

A friggin' EM Funguar took me down to 36/2150 HP before I managed to kill it with a WS. Blind and Paralyze were crippling, and it pulled off some crappy Breath type WS that did 980 damage.

Assuming I won't be getting Shura Haidate nor Usukane Hizayoroi in the immediate future, are Myochin Haidate really the best WS option presently available for YGK?

Anyhow, repeating a question, is soloing Limbus for AF upgrade items reasonably possible on Monk or Ninja? I don't think I could hold a gun to anyone's head to get them to do Limbus these days.

Shura are dirt cheap, i'm sure you can find someone to sell them.

SW drops sam on f1, and should be easy to solo. Temenos W might be on option i guess, but random chest drops suck.

You can solo Floor 1 (and maybe 2) of SE Apollyon on NIN/DNC for sure. It's the damage-types one. Slimes (blunt immune, slashing vulnerable) and crabs (slashing immune, piercing vulnerable).

I think people used to solo it on NIN/RDM before the DNC subjob, so I'm sure you could do it on 80NIN/DNC.

Also... has anyone tried Central Temenos Basement since the level 80 patch? I don't think it'd be an efficient way to make gil or anything, but it'd be cool to clear it and see if anything happens.

I have an ulterior motive in that there are a few other random bits of AF+1 I'd still like (since SE doesn't seem to know how to outclass Choral Cuffs +1, for instance), so working on ho-hum Myochin Haidate +1 whilst doing other things wouldn't strictly bother me.

Really, I was just trying to find an easy stopgap. I'm likely to finish Usukane Hizayoroi some time in the relatively near future and I'd shoot myself in the head to waste gil on Shura Haidate only to get Usukane like a week later.

It's not a pin spot but the Adze that dropped my collar literally wouldn't move the entire fight after getting stuck in one of the bone structures by the excavation points near corses/turtles. I wouldn't recommend trying to repeat it..seemed very off.

Did it stop when it hit a certain spot, or did it just randomly stop doing anything, like can happen to other mobs sometimes?

It was a certain spot. It kept turning back and forth as though it was pinned but didn't actually move.

I've seen that happen before, but never gotten lucky enough to have it happen in a way that still lets me cast on the monster. Generally they're behind something that I can't cast through.

Easily, yes, especially since I don't make a lot of gil these days because I don't have many things to throw it at.

Alright here's a facepalmer related to some of my earlier inquiries:

I haven't kept up with the Post your Augmented items threads in months and months. Offhand do any of you know if Accuracy was an augment possibility on.. lol, Hachiman Domaru?

I remember having seen Attack+5.. And I recall that the Dragon harness could get up to Accuracy +8, so I'm wondering if lolmaru ever had anything going for it.
