Is a large LED monitor worth getting for a laptop at home or nah?
doesn't hurt. Dual screen is always good if you need to multi task.

I would recommend the asus G74jh-A1 thought it is a bit more, Asus have at the moment a 1 year accidental damage coverage which is really nice.
