    I don't know what benchmarks are, but going from what you linked, it seems that the i7 is the better choice hands down - which is good.

    That's the one I think I like anyways, and it's a really good deal.

    Is a large LED monitor worth getting for a laptop at home or nah?

    doesn't hurt. Dual screen is always good if you need to multi task.

    I would recommend the asus G74jh-A1 thought it is a bit more, Asus have at the moment a 1 year accidental damage coverage which is really nice.

    My friend is selling a >6 months old laptop to fund his desktop build, an extremely good laptop. It will be popping up on Buy/Sell soon, keep an eye out Sath.
