The number doesn't actually change, you just wait until it logs you in. I've left my monitor at 360 que and came back in 30mins to be logged in. Another Time I canceled and tried again and it put me in the back of the line.

No, the numbers definitely go down. I experienced this in Tuesday's test, but it doesn't refresh for like 5 minutes.

Well that's good to know, because I thought the advice was still to retry every 10 minutes.

Not once during any phase has SE asked for feedback on balance. Its pretty obvious SE are testing balance internally.

For all we know, the version we are playing isn't balanced at all, and we will see that in phase 2/3. It could also be balanced around factors that we can't see, like unannounced classes, features not yet implemented, or something we aren't considering.

I can't verify this because I didn't get the beta invite e-mail, but Edgie posted this in the third speculation/question thread:

I've been trying to log in for quite some time now. Didn't realize the servers were down between 11-12 (est). I momentarily got into a server queue, which must have been after 12pm, but since then it's back to just plain old 13001. Probably broken again.

cool story bro thanks for the feedback? Any bread crumbs at all ? Or are they completely silent on there boards. I hate how sometimes developers barely even let the players know they are listening.

Next phase they will split the regions up again.. I call it now.

If they do that, I can almost guarantee the release date will be set back, which isn't a bad thing per se of course.

Their biggest fail so far was to set the release date before the beta even begun IMO =/. Now they're running against the deadline with no room for error.
