Yeah, you do also for mining. From what I've experienced so far you do get a decent amount of exp from that. I have not been in a experience party so for now cant judge more but you can lvl physical lvl fairly fast by crafting/gathering.
Sheppard will be able to shoot sheep out of a cannon against any HNM
So pumped to tank as gladiator tomorrow. $200 Office chair so I don't stop to massage my back every 5 minutes. Plus more cream soda.
Side note: Does un-equipping my sword let me level pugilist?
I never did any of that stuff. Played since January of 03 I think it was. Didn't get my first 75 till a couple of years after that thanks to the timezone difference. Had some great parties with JP players, very few with NA players. Mostly because I had a full time job and couldn't stay up late enough to play with many English speakers
Either way, I'm certainly not one of those "I want to play DRK/PLD because it sounds cool" type of players. But by the time I'd even got to 75 on one job (and 60+ on 7 or 8 others) I was so bored of the game that endgame stuff didn't really appeal anyways. I have plenty of friends/acquaintances that did Dynamis and Limbus and all that stuff, but they all played 5 or 6 hours later than I could, and mostly all I heard about was how much they died. Grinding more xp to counter the whole death penalty didn't really appeal to me as a player. Just seemed like more of an overinflated timesink and counterproductive to fun :D
Ya know, it'll be absolutely fantastic if you can get good xp doing solo stuff high lvl/endgame. Would make dying in instanced content like that so much less of a hassle. It was always annoying as hell when someone refused to go to Dynamis on ____ job because they only had a 1k buffer, or being that person and just delvling all to hell.
PLD was my first 75...so I know exactly what you mean about grinding to balance out the 8million deaths you could eat doing some stuff, lol.

Single best investment I've made in the past 3 months.
awesome thanks xD
Oh damn... I might need to get one of those as well. Looks comfy. ;o
If nothing else, I'm glad they dropped the -XP on death penalty in FFXIV!
I think you just got trolled.
Meh death sickness and 15% durability penalty is plenty. Just think of how much it'll cost to repair endgame gear. Harsh death penalties just lead to safe and boring cookie cutter parties.
It's not even 5mins sickness now is it?
Although you get it even while HP'ing, lame.
