High Quality items: Can be done by normal synthesis with a high focus (nuggets for example over 60) or by "Touch Up" after synthesis is 100%.
Take care with "Touch up" since is like if you were still crafting which means you can still BREAK the synthesis and the durability GREATLY varies each try of touch up.

If those are confirmed beta synths, ignore this I guess. Everything can HQ to +3 as far as I know (not just +1), though some things might give you more items rather than a +1 (again, unless things have changed from alpha). I haven't encountered anything like that yet though.

I haven't touched crafting yet but I noticed drops that are +1/2 mats, I assume they increase quality chances or something on those lines. As for nuggets or similar items is HQ +1 quality or quantity?

It'd be nice to keep this stuff in a separate thread so this is just a recipe thread. But to quickly answer your question, unfortunately not. You'll notice if you look at the recipes, a bronze labrys takes bronze and ash, while an iron labrys takes iron and elm. If you try to mix bronze and elm, nothing will happen. So similarly, you need a specific combination of sword blades and pommels most likely.

If they were to give us quicker skillup rates in proportion to the additional time it takes, it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe it would take you 10 times as long to craft a complete sword, but then instead of crafting 100 swords per level, you'd only have to craft 10.

Remember as well that you can do crafting leves for skillups, which cost you nothing.

It will be interesting to see if repairing items give you skillups as well.

That's a good point, but I was thinking more about inventory room. I mean how are you going to carry 100 swords? And who's going to buy them all? Also, if crafters create fewer items, the market will be less flooded and stuff will be more sellable.

S'gnayak at East Hawker's Alley sells grips and the like. Zuzudesu in the same location sells animal glue, will post any findings on my attempt to make Spatha if I succeed.

Edit: Roadblocked at Bronze Spatha Blade... recipe is no longer 3 bronze ingots, not sure what to do, can't afford to pay 500g for another fire crystal at the moronic market and no idea how to get them reliably.

Edit2: Turns out.... 3 bronze nuggets... 1 bronze ingot 4 wind shards, 4 fire shards.... (Also makes bronze saw blade and hatchet head)

Edit3: "You decide to wait until you are more skilled to attempt this synthesis" Oh sweet it didn't even let me try, awesome, so by the time I can actually level Blacksmithing to the point where I can make this sword, I won't even need it, nor will it be worth the hassle. Typical crafting is typical is fail.

Has anyone tried dying something yet? Just like, leather + dye or something? Could be an alchemy thing I guess.
