It's only level 9 and slighty worse than Brass Spear, though :\

I've tried working on the next one, I found tortoise spear heads and butts in the same place as the bone parts, but I can't find the rest of the ingredients needed. I was able to make an Iron Spear Clasp at lvl 7 smithing, and that didn't work. Using the same type of ingredients as Bronze and Iron, the Brass and Silver Spear Clasps don't exist yet, so it has to be Iron. I also tried including an Elm Spear Shaft, and that didn't work, but I have yet to try Mahogany Spear Shafts since those aren't sold by the log NPC.

It's slightly worse than the Brass Spear. so I've just been using it for show, since nobody else has one. I have most of the mats for a second one so i can just sell them to you.

I crafted a Maple longbow today as a lvl 5 carpenter
It's lvl 8 and has +16 atk and +25 acc than the lvl 1 shortbow

and i lost over 1k of wear for 2 skull valley leves and some mob outside camp

Maple Longbow

1 maple branch, (you can buy at carpenter npc for 280)
2 pieces of maple lumber (crafted 1 maple log + 1 wind crystal (log is 500 at npc))
1 linen bowstring, (buy at carpenter npc for 322)
1 circle of sheepskin leather, leathercraft (sheepskin + oak chip)
1 block of animal glue (buy at alchemy npc for 220)
1 wind crystal + 1 ice crystal

should cost about 2k in mat if everything goes well (not including crystal/shards)
i lost 2 logs during synth and had to buy some crystals(i was lucky to find an ice crystal for 100 gil at market ward) so it cost me about 3.5k

1 maple longbow,
1 circle of soot-black buffalo leather,
1 soot-black buffalo leather strap,
1 sheet of silver plate,
1 handful of silver rivets,
1 pinch of brimstone

but i dont think most of those materials exist in game yet,
since goldsmith is not active cant make the silver parts

As far as synthing goes, is there level reqs for some synths like in XI? I've been doing Copper Nuggets from 1-5 and my exp seems to be the same. Also do other DOH repair gear or is it just BS?

am at lvl 12 smithing and STILL not high enough skill level to craft for bronze spatha blade...

then there's people posting they can make brass and iron stuff below lvl 10 rank in other DoHs =/

Most likely grade 3 (bloodshore) or grade 4. I think grades 1-2 are mostly arrowwood/willow if I remember correctly, with the occassional elm.
