Is there a way to get rid of the border when going full-screen?
The setting: "disable window resize border" didn't do anything.
The setting: "default to fullscreen mode on open" didn't do anything either.
I have it set to 16:9 1920x1080 and everything including the title screen looks pretty shit resolution. I have yet to play the game itself because I need to get a controller of some sort working. I forget where to find that little piece of code someone wrote to make a PS3 controller work via USB.
Also, some of thee EE/IOP, VU, and GS settings are in greek to me... could someone point me towards the more optimal settings (assuming they aren't already)
Full Screen yea ... i'd love to get that aswell, unfortunatly the only PSX2 Graphic Driver (ZeroGS or something) which kinda supports full screen doesn't work properly with win7/vista 64 bit (atleast doesn't work for me ...).
For a better resolution you gotta figure out the right graphic driver for ur CPU, since i had the same CPU as u i think it was "GSdx 890 (MSVC 15.00 SSE2)".
Just use the DX10 setting bellow to make it run smooth and look good.

D3D internal res pretty much is what we know as backgroud resolution from ff11, so just set it to whatever you want, but since basic res is something like 500x400 a res of 1920x1080 will lead to something like 9x SSAA ... fair enough ... any higher will prolly lag and slow ur sounds down etc.
PS3 Controller is a pain in the ass to install on a 64 bit OS as far as i know (windows wants signed drivers on a 64 bit OS).
I managed to get it running tho, gotta deactivated signed drivers before you launch windows ... however it didn't work anymore after i rebooted lol ... so i just bought a xbox360 controller for like 25€ ... works quiet well, same amount of buttons and it's plug&play lol (curses microsoft).
Advanced settings in greek is kinda new to me ... maybe reinstall it and try to clean of ur registry with a tool ... idk lol. But anyway here is a screenshot of my setting, maybe that'll help:

Anyone here have sound problems when the use Save States? Seems like having one will make me experience bleeps and bloops through the game, as long as a save state exists. Deleting it will result in normal sound again.
I got the same problem before, just changed the sound driver in PSX2 Config to get rid of it.
I'm using "P.E.Op.S. SPU2" atm and apart from some rare sound slow downs, when my fps go down, everything is all right.
@ Ghostsix, thx for those awesome lables! o.O
EDIT: And yea, they changed Zodiac Spear. From what i heard you can obtain it now in the Phon Coasts Hunters Guild instead of Necroplois Chest ... Hene Mines Chest remains unchanged tho.
I found out the Dual Shock 2 controller issue for 64bit Windows7/Vista. You have to F8 after the bios screen every time you boot up and choose disable signed driver enforcement. If you forget when you reboot, the shit stops working.
Now, I need to figure out the calibration and button-assignment shit so my characters will stop walking towards the camera when I tilt the controller towards me... :/
Other than that, everything is working great and I am pretty psyched on this. The game seems to be running really well. The only things I'm seeing are crappy res for the pre-rendered movies and text/images (I'm assuming it's from compression/decoding issues?), and the very occasional little audio hiccup. Other than that, the game looks better than on a PS2.
Thanks a ton for the details... I'm usually amazed when shit works and I never count on it.
p.s. It's looking like Windows 7 64bit resets itself back to checking for signed drivers after coming back out of sleep mode. What a crock of shit. A lot of rebooting to keep your DualShock3 working.
They definately changed Cat's-Ear Hood. No longer gives the huge speed/Vitality boosts but halves Ice/Aero and gives Speed+3. I also noticed it seems to stop the equipped character from gaining LP, too. I couldn't figure out why Basch only had 20LP after clearing Stillshrine until I swapped the accessories a couple times.
Those chests have a bunch of weak gear pieces inside IIRC, opening them doesn't affect anything else in the International version, so go ahead.
So I just beat the game and decided to play strong mode but in the ending they didn't translate something, going to spoiler it just in case.
Spoiler: show
Damn it, I want to play FF12 and FFX's international versions so bad! So going to have to upgrade to a decent gaming PC soon. I just saw some of the games they have on snesorama.com and they have a great selection.
I've played a few psx games on epsx and being able to "upgrade" the graphics is wonderful. Can't wait to do the same for ps2 games.
I noticed they stuck the Firefly license like 1 tile away from the starting point as well as placed one in a chest at the first encampment in the Estersands... Encouraging challenge playthroughs on top of the Zodiac Job System? Wat.
As far as I know Japan's FFX-International does have the option between English or Japanese menus. The European version also has all the add-on that the Japanese had minus the Japanese text.
Found it here.-Final Fantasy X: International was released only a couple months after the
NA release. It has the additions of the Dark Aeons, Expert Sphere Grid, and
other things. English Voice Acting, option between
Japanese and English menus and subtitles.
I always wanted to import but it was pretty expensive a couple of years ago. Now is a bit more affordable but there really is no need. Rather invest on a better PC first. However, I'm still looking for an English patched FFX-2 International :/.
just get a 360 controller, works like a fucking chram
Actually decided to look into it and seems like the FFX PAL version has all the changes the international version had. Downloading a PAL europe version now. Just need to keep myself from playing it until I do all the hunts in FF12. Damn my ADHD!
