What do you mean? There are no difficult/hard fights in FF games, just ones that are more unfair than others but that just means you have to be equally unfair (and that only ever applies to extra/optional bosses). Not a lot of FF games get it right to the point where your ability to play overwrites stats/equipment, like one every generation maybe.

Yeah that's what I meaning, since the way it was setup you more than likely died pretty quickly if you didn't know what you were doing with that game specifically. I only played the Zodiac version of XII so I'm not sure how the original version of the game went to be honest.

So I was also one of the ones that thought this was an update and thus was saddened and then gladdened by the emulator info provided but now I'm maddened that I want to emulate the game when I was waiting it out for HD version. I have too many other games to play, including 3 FF games and Xenoblade to get through first.

Yes, I'm sure it was just me that felt that way. "The story was boring" and "the game plays itself" definitely weren't two of, if not the most common complaints of people who quit midway through the game.

Lets not forget the awful ability queue, half of the main characters being shit to appeal to the 12 year old japanese audience (Vaan/Penelo) and furries (Fran), and all of that shit that the not so international version fixed. It's easily one of the worst FF titles along with FFVIII.

Didn't a bunch of damned females sprites in the old games have nothing on but leotards and capes? The only difference between them and Fran is that Fran isn't a sprite. There was nothing sexual about her character at all except the way her people dress but that's like saying standard tribal garb is sexual because in some tribes, the females are topless.

Ashe is probably a better case because her garb makes way less sense given the fact that they didn't want people to know she was even alive and her outfit stood out like a bumblebee at a barbecue.
