to be fair to vaan, a lot of people had skimpy clothing in rabanastre, due to the fact it was in, you know, a really really hot place, dare i say nearly a desert. that said, they didn't seem to have any water shortages judging by the waterways underneath, so i guess they could afford to sweat to cool off instead of wearing layers of light clothing to block the sun off like most sensible desert people.

Frans clothing also could be argued to be sensible as well, as her people lived in a rainforest like area, where humidity is high and temperatures also tend to run high. in a place like that sweating is useless and sun blocking clothing is worse than useless, so skimpy is the way to go.

Albedo from Overlord, actually. Her race isn't elaborated, though some lean toward succubus or even a fallen angel of sorts where such myth pre-date the whole furry sub-culture, or our interpretation thereof, by thousands of years if you want to persist on the hypocrisy labeling.

And no, I didn't "get" mithra, either. Personally advocated they were covered head to toe in fur, which naturally pissed some people off because they didn't wanna be furries. Yiff yiff and all that.

Nonetheless, the desire to fuck a fictional character isn't why I like her. Channeling my inner-Gulk, tits make most everything better, sure, but I'd just propose you give the show a shot to form your own final opinion. The tropes I railed against she's decidedly absent of unless you wanna broadly paint good vs. evil (NPCs) with the brush of racial tension. Some cutesy mascot she most definitely isn't.

So I have been playing this game for a while now and when I looked at this thread earlier I saw a link to make it HD, so I decided to give it a try since i'm playing on a new gaming laptop and just gotta say..... HOLY SHITBALLS at the HD switch, paused the game in a cs and saw how it was sorta PS2 blurry and after going through that guide to adjusting the visual settings on the emulator, it was as if I was already playing the HD remaster of the game lol, looks so much better.

It gets even better if you add some post proccessing with the built in FX shader or diy with Reshade

There's nothing to be done about some of the lower res textures, but some HDR/Luma Sharpen along with basics like AF and AA can make the game look very good.

How often do you encounter lag with the game? Something I absolutely hate about emulating ps2 titles is when you lag the audio gets horribly distroted. Most games I've played don't have lag but ones that you encounter it is just disgusting(Dark Cloud 2).

Oh God, you just reminded me of the first few minutes of Tales of Legendia when I emulated it some years back.
The first scene is HORRIBLE but then the rest of the game plays fine... idk.

There's lag when initially loading a save state, but otherwise I haven't hit anything.

Using reshade uses just enough extra GPU power that I have to turn down the rendering to 5x native from 6x (playing on a laptop with a 980M). Oddly enough though the GPU only gets stressed in the menus, which for some reason double the GPU usage compared to the normal game.

I'm currently at the portion where Penelo gets taken by Vayne, so no Penelo booty atm.

I've been playing this on and off for the last year or so, I'm up to the Cerobi Steppe on weak mode. Treasure chest hunting rng manipulation really killed the game for me. I may pick it back up since this thread was bumped.

I know someone a few posts(Maybe pages) back wanted to start on weak mode instead of playing through normally. I don't remember where I found it, but I copied a game save from online somewhere so I didn't have to play through normal mode myself. I'm sure it's still out there and you can import it into pcx2.

So despite being my favorite FF game, I've never played the zodiac version before and this thread being bumped rekindled my interest to try it. Game is much better not having to worry about which damn chests I'm looting and I can actually see details in the textures holy crap.
I like the job system so far - since I tried to more or less pigeonhole each character into a "job" role before anyhow, this way it's much easier to achieve that as it's already set up. I'm somewhat regretting setting Vaan as Time Mage as the job just isn't that useful early game and doesn't seem very versatile. Something that bothers me is the licenses that are floating off to the side and inaccessible, I'm really afraid of fucking those up. I've read they have to be accessed through esper or lb3 tiles?

Anyway definitely most FF fun I've had in a long time, glad this thread is here. Fran is my pt leader ofc because Viera ass is never wrong.
