Although, I will say that MNK isn't exactly turrible at birds either. You're not going to be losing chains for it unless you're replacing a SAM or DRG who also happened to be the only person in the party pulling their weight.

Ah hah aha.. no. DNC shouldn't be there for DD and if a monk beats a thief that thief sucks, which is unfortunately 99% of them.
