    Was working the mid shift on bike patrol and didn't notice it. I work in SE D.C. don't think any of us noticed it but we did get a few calls for people saying something exploded down the street. We all were wondering what the hell was going on but then heard this today. Crazy.

    According to CNN, 300,000 people felt strong tremors during the quake. Epicenter was only 5KM below the surface, so the shallowness factored into the tremors being felt more too.

    At first, I thought it was a thunderstorm until the room started shaking (Had earphones on and heard a boom). Nothing major though otherwise.
