Does anyone know of a way to transfer 360 saves?

Google has failed me and most of the links I've found say there's no way to do it but sometimes BG knows more than Google.

I have had a 360 account since launch but never had it hooked up to xbox live. Recently I finally decided to run an Ethernet cable to my xbox 360 and now have a separate xbox live account because Microsoft is stupid and doesn't let you convert offline profiles to online. Now, I want to transfer my game saves over to my live account, I don't care about the achievements but I DO care about the saves.

Is there any way to do this?

seems like there are answers here, but you can use a USB stick now, up to 16 GB isntead of a MU.

That's weird that they won't let you use your offline profile. I thought when you first signed in after connecting to the internet it asks you to use that one.

That link Deadhead posted looks like it has some things to try though. Good luck.

pretty sure you can convert offline to online (silver or gold)
Sign in with your offline profile then go to the marketplace while connected to the net, it will ask you to join Xbox live. Silver is free Gold is Pay.
You enter your email addy and it will check to see if your name is taken. Most you would have to do is change your gamertag, should still keep achievements and saves.

That doesn't work, it makes you make a new gamertag and you can't import the settings and saves from your old one. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen to be honest. The only way to convert your offline profile to online is by doing some stupid method (that's on microsoft's website) of renaming your profile, making a new one, deleting your old one and paying $5 to rename the new one to your old one or something. It's incredibly complicated and not even a guarantee to work.

Saves cannot be transfered between gamertags without a modded console, period.

That said...you're doing something wrong, shouldn't have to make a new gamertag.

You would think that I'm doing something wrong, but trust me, Microsoft has made it impossible to convert an offline profile. They even took the old method off their official support site that they used to have because it didn't always work. Worst.Profile Design.Ever.

This whole thing has really soured me to Xbox. It seems so obvious, but it's not a feature they support.
