For SCH - Nothing. 4mp/tick sublimation is still better than refresh, 3mp/tick sublimation is as good.

For BLM - Quite a bit. 3mp/tick is much better than 0mp/tick.

I just want to point out that you are wrong. 4mp/tick is counting body + head slot. Before this patch, scholar's options were 2/tick sublimation for those 2 slots, or 1/tick regen and 1/tick refresh with ixion. As of this patch, scholar can now get 2/tick refresh with these 2 slots. Thus, a scholar can now get 5/tick with refresh + refreshhairpin + refreshbody and a black mage can get the exact same.
BLM still gains more refresh than a SCH assuming a solo-ish situation, but you seem quite confused by comparing 2 equip slots + a JA vs refresh.

Not AFAIK, but I assume they will be before either job can cast refresh.

Robe I suppose, as it's farmable in some way(though heard nasty things about the t3s/t4s there). It's kind of hard to use augmented gear as a standard for comparing job options though.. not to say the OP has any point whatsoever. You just know whoever sees that hairpin in the crate is going to grab it, too.

Hairpin seems farmable too...just pick a spot in the correct zone where you get decent ?amber? lights, and do exp parties there. Can easily do better with ~10-12 good players than random /shout groups do with a full 18, and if you're doing it correctly you end up positive on stones, so it's not like you're losing out on the ability to go do other NMs. I'm sure if a group really wants to get a refresh hairpin and like say, stops doing salvage 6 days a week to do this for 3 hrs per day 6 days a week, you'll get quite a few people refresh hairpins before the next cap raise.

Anyway, I have no real interest in the OP's topic besides pointing out that he's comparing a JA+2 equip slots vs a spell. I find it especially offensive he isn't even pointing out that the blm has 4/tick guaranteed vs the 4 sublimation, but that both get better than that if they can manage the hairpin (and really, if the scholar gets either item, sublimation becomes potentially obsolete since they will be down to a 3/tick sub that's free but has 30sec downtime periodically and cost HP vs a 3/tick refresh that costs 40mp...either way, you're gonna pick 1/tick refresh on gear over +1 sub on gear).
