PS3 servers are crappy today too
servers are still down? =/ ...it'd be nice if they communicated with us and told us what's going on.
Just out of curosity .. has anyone ran across the quest line that yeilds Shielded Robot Style equipment? I've been looking for that set for a few days and cant seem to find it. I have a few quest line styles obtained but still looking for that one
I'll have to check, I don't think I have any shielded robot gear but I can't remember offhand.
anybody run across any of those golden question marks? and when you examine it, it spits out a weird piece of loot that you can "use" and add to your collection? any idea what those sets are or are they just another investigation-type long term collection activity?
They're just another type of investigation only harder.
The ? ones suck because you can get the same pieces and from what I've seen they spawn randomly in an entire zone. I'm 4/5 for the ? in Area 51 and I kept getting one I already have... driving me insane cause I just wanna finish it!
Anyone got a PC buddy card? I got the client from a friend and he was going to let me test his account but I'd rather play with him if I can. PM me if you can help me out.
Finally fully cleared Ace's Chemicals, Area 51 Hard, and The Armory. Next up: Arkham, Smallville and Stryker's Island. :D
Everyone in my group got their first Tier 1 armor, I chose the helmet for 55 Marks of Triumph.
You can see the full set of armor in the background.

I was gonna ask for a spare buddy code as well. I accidently used mine thinking it was my game registration code and my GF wants to try the game. If anyone is willing to let me use theirs lemme know please PM
Borrowed a friend's account and spent about 3 hours playing this tonight.
Got ganked repeatedly by level 30s camping the Chinatown area on the Villain side.
I got one quest completed in three hours because of this.
Holy fuck implement an honor system, SOE.
I'd say it's bad luck honestly, I never really encountered anything like this leveling 2 characters. Also there are several quests at the start of the game where you don't even need to set foot in combat and you get quite a bit of XP. If something is overrun by an ally force I may do something else quick and come back. Or you can shout and get people together to take them out. Lots of options.
Yeah I tried to do some missions at the PD in metropolis, but it was overrun by about 15 villains, a few of them lv30s. Couldn't even get 1 target done of my quest before I'd get killed. Logged out and played a different character instead.
Smallville is awesome. Unfortunately, it's only a dungeon instead of a town.

Also, don't mind the outfit, it's casual mondays. So what if I raid in my underpants and sweats?
So.. guessing this is 50$ to buy and 15$ a month? Because this is incredibly badass. And how does it run in terms of computer power? Like.. specs and what not? Haven't really looked.
Ahh.. cool. So, 50$ new (PS3/PC?) and 15 a month? Ugh.
Had a few questions if you guys wouldn't mind answering. Forgive me if they come off stupid, but I figured this place would be the best place to ask.
Is this an MMO you can just leave and pick up whenever you want? Only other MMO I played before this was FFXI, and you couldn't really do that there. Just wondering if I could accomplish anything by playing for like 30 minutes, do something else and come back an hour later and pick up where I left off.
On the flip side is there anything to do that would keep me glued for say 3+ hours?
And finally PS3 or PC?
Thanks in advance for answering =]
Leveling is pretty easy and fun. You do mission storylines which play out a lot like an action game, the exp flows pretty quickly and keeps me engaged for sure. So I'd say it caters pretty well to casual gaming. Some instances (Alerts) can take as little as 30 minutes. On the flip side, once you've played through an area with a boss instance (like Scarecrow in Gotham) doing that again will net you little exp, but you can farm it all you want for gear and cool downs seem really short. I could see how that might be annoying, but I don't really mind it since I have friends who I need to pace myself to play with and in my down time can farm for rare items (damn you, Bane). Plus they are literally all over the game. When you get on a roll doing missions it's easy to get lost in them especially if you're a fan of the superhero (or villain) you're assisting.
I play on the PC, but would probably recommend a controller. I need a 360 Controller for Windows. :\
