As a fire tank I main brawling, but I also have rifles, two handers, staves, and hand blasters all unlocked with several levels into them for innate trait increases.

Still working on my first T1 piece of gear, but I'm really having fun with duos. Halfway to 120 marks of victory for a weapon upgrade.

I can't decide which Tech set to get my Fire tank when I get 30. Either the Batman or Steel set since the Robin set is more for PvP and that's not a huge priority. Based on just looks I kinda like the Steel set.

Well the Steel set is T1 and a lot easier to get. The Batman set is T2 and the Robin set does, in fact, come from Marks of Victory and is designed for PVP for sure.

I actually don't mind playing as Robin, but yeah, when you get rock smashed over and over by Bane, you kind of want that retribution. Earlier this morning (or late last night) I managed to piss off Daedalus from the Exiles. So, Harvey, feel free to break his face extra hard for me until I get some time to play my villain, level him, and do it myself.

lol a bunch of people in my league have been abusing 2v2 Legends PVP with Bane/Bane combo, its ridiculous. I believe they're on a 30+ win streak atm, 0 losses. They have even faced other Bane/Bane teams and stomped them hard.

So I take it to earn more skill points and stuff after 30 you need to earn the various achievements to gain those points to get more? That's time consuming as hell.

I do have the to say... the CG's for the game are pretty amazing. The one for the new xpac is just as compelling as the opener

It's really not as bad as it sounds. Especially when you find feats worth like 50 points to do. I'm up to 38 skill points.

What stats should I focus on as a mentalist with a bow? And what are the primary DD classes?

For mentalist you should be stack dominance and vitalization. Dominance will affect your damage over time and how effective your crowd control is, vitalization affects your power restoration abilities. Hand blasters, dual pistols, staff, dual wield, brawling, one handed, rifle, all give one or the other or both.

Pretty much anything can be a DD if the other slots are filled and they have the right weapon for the job.

Yeah there is no dedicated DPS class, everyone has the capability. I really haven't seen where one ability (such as fire) has more damage output than another. Even though you may be in a healer/mentalist role you can still use a ranged weapon and do plenty of damage while keeping yourself safe and everyone else alive. A lot of the Healer/Mental abilities seem to have range to them too which helps, where I know fire you need to be right up in front for many abilities.

So I should be using a bow? Since I don't really see VIT or Dominance on any of the weapons. I like using mental and bow powers to keep shit from hitting me lol

If you like the bow, no harm in keeping it, but you'd get the same effect from using dual pistols or rifles and you can boost one of your innate stats too. Eventually you'll get enough skill points to max out several weapons if you really want to. Try different things and see how you like it. On my mentalist I started with hand blasters, then picked up brawling because I liked the DPS solo. Realizing how bad of an idea that was in instances I also picked up dual pistols.

yeah I honestly have no idea what I'm doing as far as picking powers and skills.

I have no idea what I'm doing period, and it's hard to ask in game on the triple

I solo'd to 30 on mentalist so I had to pick things up as I went along. I ended up investing heavily in the telepathy tree because I like the ice group CC > fire burst combo for solo and it works well in group too since I think I have access to the power regen abilities. I really need to check again to be sure.
