Playing controller you mostly want to stack dominance, then vitalization. In controller mode your basic powers give a power regen effect to party members along with having a straight up power restoration that I think has been fixed. I haven't played my controller in a while. Look for weapons that best maximize your innate dominance like pistols, hand blasters, brawling, but I'd probably avoid a close range weapon because I get my teeth knocked in when I get too close in alerts and other things.
I hit 30 on my Fire Tank yesterday and I gotta say I'm not really digging it. I had way more fun with my Mentalist. Now to try and level my Nature character and see how that goes. I may have to redo my Mentalist character so they're all on Zero Hour. After that it will be villian time to try out all the other powers. Sounds like a huge time sink but once I figure out which one I like most I'll focus entirely on that, I'm in no hurry to do an apparent lacking end game.
As for the mentalist question I really enjoyed dual guns and I advise to get the skill fully automatic as soon as possible. You can easily sit back shoot at lots of things and take them down by the time they can get to you. Also I went the Telepathy path it suited me a lot more.
Definitely try staff for your nature hero. That's my plan.
I currently have him with a Bow, but I'm already disliking it. I may just re-roll entirely since I'm not big on the looks and he's only like level 6 and do dual guns. I just really enjoyed the guns personally.
Rifile is good for healers, although with nature you'll be closer than with sorcery. I'd also like to point out that you don't do much, if any, partying on your fire tank.![]()
All the more reason to drop my fire guy. Seems like it's all about Healer/Controller.
Psh. Somebody's got to take damage. Guess that remains my job.
Is it just me? I don't like actually using "weapons" if I'm a super hero? Like having a gun or rifles just seems odd to me.
Nope. One of the big reason I always have brawling available.
Well I suppose you could always look at it as your powers are still developing so you can't full time them yet and you need something else in between. I dunno I'm pulling shit out of my ass at this point. Speaking off, wtf with that chat filter.... can I at least have the option to turn that shit off.
I couldn't call Jim a gay porn star angel. :\
Two gripes: The battery quest where you restore power to Stryker's Island is a whore. Constantly going up against 3+ Banes is a whore.
I wanna make a healer, how well do they do solo while leveling? And if any healer on ps3 can tell me how hard is it to heal? I don't even nkow how to target players.
Also what stats would I look for in a healer?
There's no good guides online for this shit.
Everything looks like AoE heals so I don't think there's any single target stuff, your people just need to be near you. Seems like you just need to stack as much restoration and critical healing as you can. That's what I plan to do at least.
Restoration would be key, power, crit healing chance, crit healing magnitude. Pretty much all heals are AoE. Sorcery, for example, has a large healing circle that heals everyone within the limits of whatever mob you're fighting. I know nature can solo like a beast (no pun intended) and sorcery DPS is pretty nasty, so there shouldn't be any problem with it.
Restoration has diminishing returns after 1100 or so, thus it's better to focus on crit healing chance then crit heal magnitude. Ofcourse I'm speaking from a Plant/Shape perspective where Hive Mind provides us 90% crit heal chance. Plant is worlds better than Sorcery, unfortunately, however Sorcery has some amazing DPS. Our top DPS is a Sorc, and he consistently scores double the 2nd place DPS. We run 2 groups on raid days and the Plant/Plant group were the ones who cleared both raids in under an hour. In the other group the plant healer was 2-3x the heals over the sorc healer.
Got into a 5 vs. 5 against an all NG team. Didn't go so well. ;o
Same
Also, has anyone else joined a hard alert only to be told that their 4th went ld, and asked to leave? Then when you tell them you can't queue again for a while if you leave an alert in progress, being told that the group just isn't going to pull as long as you're there? I've joined 3 hard alerts in the past 2 days, and of those 3 this has happened to me twice :/
