Definitely picking it up now whenever I see it for $39 or less on the PS3. Been interested in this for awhile as an MMO to play in the same casual sense I played Guild Wars off-and-on over the three year period I ran around in that.

Yeah, but I'm also really cheap. And trying to link a PS3 controller to my PC would be a pain in the ass. Meh, maybe I'll just get a friend with a 360 to let me use a spare controller of his.

From my understanding the game will be free to download as well. Also the "free" mode doesn't feature bank slots or voice chat among other things. Can't expect SOE to do everything right...

Been curious about the new super servers, I may try again. But yeah no interest in playing a game I could get to "end game" in like 2-3 days of playing. This could be fun as casual game play.

Should be free on PSN now......, would check but I'm stuck with a firmware update.

Bugs me a little that you have to subscribe to Legendary to unlock trophies. I'll probably wait a bit and see if I can play casually, meet the conditions, then pay for one month to get them from there. I am curious to see what all the retail owners get unlocked as part of premium. I'm expecting there to be $40 worth of DLC you'd have to buy as a free member to match what they got.

Even if that's the case I'll probably pay up since I was actually expecting to have to still purchase the game to play anyways, game looks fun.
(I'm still stuck with the notion F2P just means no monthly subscription)

[EDIT] It got pulled from the store, I guess they're waiting for the typical Tuesday store update before putting the F2P release up. Hope they take the time and patch up the downloaded client.

Here's all the perks to each package, not even that limited for free. Other then the obvious no trading etc., to counter possible RMT activity, I guess.

Now to just wait for CoX to go f2p and I can nostalgia on that game when I'm bored of this.

Free: is pathetic and its basically a RMT counter measure... but at the same time it makes nobody want to play the game w/o at least dropping 5$ to get to the next package.

Premium: Seems "ok," but the chat restrictions are extremely retarded and makes the mmo feel kinda shitty. I don't know how much money circulates the economy, but 2k seems like a tiny amount.

Legendary: Honestly seems like the only option for full functionality in being able to enjoy the game w/o retarded limitations... thus kinda defeating the point of making it F2P. The other models seem to be there as sorta "trials" to let ppl test the game out for free

Free is fine to me. Not like I'm going to be playing it seriously in the first place. So just a bit of casual play is fine for me. Only restrictions for it that annoy me is the no trading and mail crap.

Chat limitation on premium seems retarded. Should at least make it 10 messages per half minute.

I wonder how they handle the downgrading. Say you subscribe for a month and make 7+ characters, then let your subscription expire so you downgrade to premium. I'm guessing they'll just block off any slots beyond the 6 you should have unless you paid for extra slots directly?

I dunno, I could use me something that acts as an inbetweener for Legendary/Premium.

I remember cash being pretty worthless for the most part. I don't care about the in game chat restrictions. I can use the steam voice client, g-talk, vent, or skype to chat with my friends.

19th was just G4 being G4. No real date yet, but possibly between the 27th and 31st.
