Only thing I'm wondering is if you can DL it to the ps3 and not have to have the discs.

It was said in an article on the PS Blog that it'll be free to download from PSN.

Granted if it's anything like the DCU beta, you'll download a 100mb some client from the store, and then the client will download 15gb of game data from there from its own dedicated server's rather than PSNs.

Because this game went F2P, the individuals who actually still pay $15/month for the game have been getting stuck in 3k+ que waits.

According to the forums they are going to add priority in. Also it would appear the 10k people playing the ps3 version crashed everything.

Like I've been saying all along as someone who used to be day 1 subscriber, SOE has their head so far up their ass with this game it's ridiculous. I have never seen a more poorly run MMO and I won't be coming back now even though it's F2P and I'm grandfathered back into a mid-tier subscription. Only advice I can offer is to not even bother with this game and play a game that's actually worth playing instead.

I'm excited to be able to play again, but I lost my name and need to think of a new one. I also want the expansion, but am annoyed that it's 1100 points. I have 500 points and of course can't just buy $6 worth.

Also stuck at the connecting to login screen.

So are any of the DLC packs worth picking up? I'm nearly done this atrociously long download, and wouldn't mind putting at least $5 forward if I end up liking it just so I'm out of the F2P bracket.

Currently the only DLC for the game is Fight for the Light. Which lets you create a light(ring) based character. Hero will look like the green lantern corps while villain will be sinestro corps. It's kind of an optional DLC unless you want to make a corps guy. I bought it since I've played every combination in the beta and need something different.

I should be fine without that. I wouldn't mind getting plat on this someday so I'll probably subscribe to Legendary at one point which'll give me access to toying with that content in the process. How is the inventory situation? Premium gets 42, no idea how loot heavy this game is, and whether or not I get additional storage in addition to that. I could possibly upgrade that to get out of the bracket.

Still wish there was a happy medium between Legendary and Premium though. Going from no-subscription to $15, the benefits they offer (other than access to the DLC) doesn't feel like much of a deal.

Premium is the way to go. 42 spaces is actually quite a lot for this game. I would take a screenshot, but the servers are still fucking up right now. You won't actually have that much in your inventory except different gear for each roles.

Server still busted? I kept getting bounced to the PVE/PVP select while watching intro vid or creating character.

Can you adjust much of your appearance after the fact? I might just button mash through it.

The default customization sucks, but you'll gain tons of style options to change your look in the game.
