thats mostly for cops and such, it depends on the test as you said. I could be wrong but I think the normal test is 3 months to a year.

edit: I no that the FBI test is at least 2 years back check for drugs.

You're not going to "beat" the test, but there's a good chance that once a week will fall below their threshold level, or they won't care about THC anyway. Shampoo isn't going to do anything. Maybe bleaching, coloring, and ironing your hair about 20 times in a week would destroy it enough to be untestable.

Random drug screenings. My roommate who smoked weed frequently got injured on the job, called in the next day saying he got hurt and didnt want to make it worse by coming into work. They came up with some corporate BS that he had to go get cleared by the doctor and take another drug test. Well, he fessed up and said that he wasn't going to pass a drug test and quit right there as to not get fired.

Anyways, lesson of the story, dont smoke and you wont have a problem.
