Well in this case, I didn't know about the NAACP thing. I do find it interesting that I get called out by name in some threads now. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

But to stay on topic, there is no real Tea Party leadership. So if someone does something stupid, and they call themselves a Tea Party member, then the headline gets called "John Doe and Tea Party is racist" instead of "John Doe is racist."

Every group of people is going to have bad eggs, that makes everyone else look dumb. Until I see a flier saying "From the TP HQ- Don't be nice to black people" I will never consider the Tea Party as a whole to be racist.

Others, including myself, have wondered if the Obama rage that is observed in Tea Party rallies is not a means to express racial resentment, given that their messages are so bizzare and out of touch with reality.

I can only speak for myself, and the Tea Party friends that I have, we don't like Obama cause he has put us into to much debt, not because he is black. Out of all of the rallies I've personally gone to, not once have I seen anything remotely racist.
