Damane is right. For the most part, hold back if you want to block (ie - if you're unsure or your eyes are being tricked, take your chances with back). All you have to watch for is teleport type shit, which reactions can beat, with Ravan, etc.

In the context of the game as it is that would probably be busted, you'd trade timeouts for matches where one person eats a single reset and is dead before they actually get to attempt a move.
unfortunatly its not possible in SFxT, because if you hit someone airborn its usually a counter hit which puts them in juggle state and is a knockdown. They need to give some new propertys to some moves/pokes that prevent that or remove juggle state and alow for such mix ups.
For example giving Cammys canon strike (dive kick) the property to reset/remove juggle state mid combos to allow her to dash under and be on the other side. This would allow for more tricky mix ups, but you coudl react to them. I mean you can react to them most of the times in SSFIV too.
Yeah but that juggle state is like the entire point of the engine.
but the juggle state is pointless with the current damage scaleing. This and the constant downback actually leads to those tremendous timeouts. Resets with mixups would help this game alot and would make fights actually mroe exciting. I am not saying to remove the juggle engine, I am just saying to add a new element to it with special propertys to some selected moves/pokes.
The core or nucleus of the game is entirely shit, and unless its changed, this game won't even make it to EVO 2k13 lineup. Sadly, this requires too much money and time for a game that has undersold; undersold entirely due to the game being shit, not an over saturation of the market. If it was good, people would buy it in America with a credit card.
Svensson is too embarrassed to comment on it.
Killian has ducked his head and disappeared.
Ono was given a heart attack due to the game.
3 Strikes - YOU'RE OUT!
To me the most exciting matches I watched allways had to do with lots of mixups. Just watching sako how he destroys some oponents with mixups/resets on cammy/ibuki in SSFIV is pure entertainment. SFxT lacks this extremly. I dont get how a company like capcom, that actually knows how to make fighting games, oversaw this.
If you take out the juggles and add in resets you end up with...AE. If that's what you're looking for, just play AE, it's already a game that is great on its own. For better or worse SFxTK should still be its own game, either it'll get some tweaks and survive or stay shitty and die. There's no point to just turning into SF4 with chain combos though.
Personally I was hoping that SFxT would be extremely juggle friendly, having viable long comboes without getting hurt too much by scaling. It should be more over the top than AE, with all the characters near broken category.
Skullgirls ended up being that kind of game instead.
No, the game ABSOLUTELY should have been SF4 with Tekken characters.
SF4 brought fighting games back from the grave, and for a reason - its the best one.
The game would have been outstanding if SF characters played like their AE version, with tweaks or additions (Donkey kick for Ryu being added, etc). Tekken characters should have played like SFxTK characters (similar to Ibuki or Viper in AE - extended air combos, wave dashing, etc etc). Start with that and balance from there, but at least the AE system would have guaranteed it wasn't a steaming pile of shit.
Edit: And for Christ's sake, who had the bright idea of letting you change skin color to blue and green for EVERY character????
Quit bitching and go practice Ibuki so you don't cost me $10
Hahahaha, I guess we do need to practice at some point. Diablo 3 though o.o
Again: I am not saying to take out the juggle system by all means, leave it there. I am just saying to add to some selected moves/pokes a special property that RESETS juggle state (and thus "knockdown") so you can have Resets with dashing under etc. Its a new element and would add a whole new element to attack pressure since you would be able to mix up your oponent in another way and avoid rolling on "wake up".
EDIT: as for the color-palette: its a pile of shit, especially the neon-glowing shit colors
Nah not done at all with Tera, but Diablo is Diablo...you don't wait 13 years to not play it.
Sven is a piece of shit. Period.
