This works, since they really aren't Tekken like anymore outside of some movesets that's been transposed from 3D to 2.5D. Makes me sad for Tekken on a whole, however... it's a legit game series in it's own way. Tekken Tag arcade tournaments were so hype in the ATL back in the day.
Hype and Tekken should never go in the same sentence. Just saying...
Dunno them personally, but definitely watched them play some Tekken up for a while now. It's one of my biggest regrets to this day, moving from ATL, then finding out that FGC is nigh non-existant in H-Town, outside of a few places. You're getting me so hype for this move to SoCal, however.
Man, Houston has some really good arcades, UFO and PlanetZero. For all the hate PZ gets, its an absolutely awesome and up-to-date arcade inside just for casual purposes.
I had a lot of fun at PZ anyway. Adeel was the best Akuma I ever played in Vanilla days.
PZ has always been 35-45 minutes out of my way to get to, but it's a solid place, indeed. Haven't been there since late 2010, however-- I'll go there this weekend and see what's up. UFO is in Austin though, like hell a nigga is gonna be driving that far.
Of course I know him, he is oldschool from way back. I played Marvel 2 against him longer back than I can think. I was going to Final Round when it was in people's houses, lol.
Pokchop brings the hype.
I remember last year he was coming in town for a tourney:
Pok: "Can you house me and my friend?"
Me: "Yeah, I can take 2 people"
Pok shows up
Pok shows up with 6 homies.....
Gotta roll deep as fuck imo.
I'm going to hit ATL for SF X Tekken for sure. Anyone in that area?
Clint is the coolest of the ATL dudes.
I'll be going down there sometime early next year. Got my peeps in Stone Mountain and Decatur that I can chill with. One of my boys getting married as well-- didn't set a date though.
Yeah, he brings it hard. Clint is the dude who usually has a tabagon on his head or a hoody on. Not sure else how to explain him, but he isn't fat/buff. Normal size dude. He was on the stream some day 1 of final round with Arturo.
The big dude, whose name escapes me, cost me a lot of money before in Marvel 2 days...shouldn't have kept betting against him lol. My boy did wreck his MSS using a Venom team once, and I won most of it back lol.
