Ryu feels SSS tier, that asswipe has answers for anything. ALL divekicks are also unsafe as fuck on block. Cr.mk > light tatsu > cr.hk, free knockdown and air tatsu crossup which goes super deep.

Rufus kicks sure as hell seem safe on block...in fact, Valle said they were much more safe than the SF4 version.

Thing is tho, rufus is not AS scary as he is in sf4. The pressure game is not there which i love. You have to be aggressive w/ pokes + hit confirms. I love it. It is a huge difference, lotta adjusting to do. Do not treat this game like sf4, you gotta treat it more like cvs2.

Been playing this for about a week. Need to stop doing stupidly long combos and opt for short ones but holy crap they are fun to do. D:

Been running Kaz/Ken, might stick with them but will need to play against a bunch of people to see if they're really viable or not. Took awhile to reliably do Mist Step repeatedly, a slight adjustment when compared to Tekken. I can't wait to see how creative people can get with the engine. It feels like MvC3 where you have a lot of freedom when it comes to combos. It's probably not practical to do 3 bar combos consisting of only tag cancelling and EXes, at least from what I've played. Cross Arts does remove the red life but I'm pretty sure people know that (and all of this) by now.

Oh and awesome theme that plays when you Cross Assault with a Tekken/SF Character... too bad that only lasts for so long. :/ The SF2 Intro theme plays when you Cross Assault with 2 SF characters. Pretty sure Tekken has its own, haven't heard it yet because I haven't tried.

Online Lobby theme is the SSF4 Theme and T6 Character Select theme remixed into one track.

In the way i say cvs2 is that the links are tighter, chains exist, but to make them work w/ moves reliably is my flaw.
