I absolutely love the roster/characters in this game, but my God did they screw this game to hell and back.

kinda random, but does anyone know how Sagat is? I think he's literally the only character I have yet to see used at any point since getting the game, him and maybe Bob.
He's good, and Bob is just quirky. Once you get to know how to play him, it's easy. Most tekken chars only have way to get around upper body fireballs, so low tigershot will blow up people who try to advance that way.
Now Yoshi... I've gotten beaten by so many Yoshi's and I have no idea why. Somehow everything they do is safe but I know a lot of his moves aren't :/
Sagat plays very similar to the way he does in AE, but with a little mahvel mixed in.
I know, I meant to include that I should feel bad. His stupid fucking windmill move that leaves him safe for some raisin, and has a huge hitbox. And I can't apply pressure right, you know this.
The pressure shit I told you about last night is mostly universal outside of characters with awkward charge cancel input moves like half-circles and dp motions. If you have a character with good walk speed and a 3 frame jab then walk > jab can get added as a pressure tool to mix in and out. Find whatever cancelable move your character has with the greatest advantage on block, use it canceled into charge canceled dash back into the blockstring. Easiest with characters who have qcf charge cancel moves and blockstrings with jab > cancelable normal, like Ryu being able to do cr.lp > cr.mp > hado charge cancel > repeat, then mix in an overhead or throw after the dash.
Gief is actually wrecking my shit so far in this game, but then again he does in SF4 as well. I have no gd clue how to play against him.
Hugo is extremely harder to deal with than Gief IMO.
Welt, Lili's alt is god tier.
I don't think he's so bad, l.spd range is absurd compared to what he has. Hugo I can AA then go for a crossup, Gief I can't jump at, can't footsie, can't really rush since one dropped link = goodbye 1/5th of my health minimum, can't zone if they're on point with lariats/greenhands. I literally have no concept of how to approach the match since it seems like regardless of how I come at him I get beat out and getting in the corner is instant death.
I just hate that if you make a mistake against Hugo, you just lost 50-70% health plus he has mixup opportunities after.
I dont know about you all, but the game is kind of getting dull for me slowly :/
slowly?
You probably don't have enough fingers for that, lol.
It is odd/hard to describe though, I agree on that...it feels like it greatly punishes mistakes, but doesn't particularly reward high-level play. A bad decision/dropped combo can lose you half a bar, but if you actively use the new, flexible combo system to create original, cool switch cancel combos with difficult inputs/timings you lose a ton of damage over just doing one normal canceled into a super.
As a viewer, it's predictable. A person with a substantial life lead with 20-30 second left pretty much always wins.
I also agree completely, I really have little to not interest in this game anymore.
