Any 3rd strike players out there? I'm looking forward to this even more than Street Fighter vs Tekken.

I would definitely pick this up if I wasn't still on last gen consoles, lol.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Me, me, pick me!
Daigo full parry was cool and all but the Yang madness in this video always makes me feel good.

3S is a given grab for me. Been waiting years for this port, and I do hope they implement 6-8 player lobbies for the online play, otherwise the playerbase will likely dwindle and die quickly as it did for SSF2THDR.
I'll probably pick this shit up just for the outside chance that it's a veiled market test for the demand of a SF III HD Remix.
To be fair, with just minor graphic filters applied 3rd Strike still looks damn good. I play it thru Final Burn Alpha on my laptop all the time and I've never once been bothered by the graphics.
Of course the main appeal of a "HD Remix" would be getting the game rebalanced, which would probably just equate to reducing the range on Ken and Chun's cr MK and some tweaks to Yun and Yang. Congrats, you have a fully balanced game.
I doubt this'll ever happen. Traditional animation is prohibitively expensive in this day and age, and SF3 has the most fucking frames of animation per character I've ever seen in any fighting game. It's very likely why they moved to 3D for SF4, as it includes its own host of benefits as far as development goes.
(granted it loses that hand-drawn charm, but whatever)
I can't see why they couldn't have a balancement though Krandor. It's a new edition, may as well finetune stuff while you're at it so online isn't the same fucking three characters all the time like I see on SSF4.
(all the while including an 'authentic' mode for offline/private play)
I know, I wish I could at least get some practice in but I can't use the fightstick on PS2 games
I can't even get it to work on my PC without a USB card that I don't have installed because my GPU takes up 30% of the space in my case -.-
I don't know about online version of 3s. It requires tighter execution than say HDR. I'm more interested in MVC3 and SFvsTekken and I've played 3s for years.
Eh, Yang's already 'balanced'.
There's a few problems they need to fix with the lower ranked characters in the cast too such as Sean but adjusting Chun and Yun would be a huge help in balancing the game.
They were asking for suggestions for the game. Obviously, a lot of people are going to request some readjustments. Hopefully this won't just be a straight up port with GGPO slapped on it (I'm hoping at least GGPO will be implemented in this seeing as it was in Fight Fight).
Graphic wise, I'll take filters just fine. If STHD took about 2 years or so, I'd hate to see how long 3S would take.
Gameplay wise, as long as David Sirlin has no hand in it, I am perfectly fine. It would be cool to have an Remixed/Classic mode. I wouldn't really know where to begin on the changes...
Don't touch Yang; he's no Yun/Chun/Ken.
I wonder if they'll have Gil available for online play? Perhaps a scaled down Gil, or just a Gil with absurdly low health, ala Seth?
Is this going to get re-balanced and/or enhanced somehow? If not, I don't get why anybody in their right minds would pay for something that's available for free on GGPO...
lolhypebeasts, can't wait for the market to oversaturate again with beat'em ups (at this rate it won't take long given the sheer amount of rehashing involved, see SFXJugglefighter, it's like I'm really in the 90's playing superchampioneditionblackbeltfullvernierturboII) and for the wiggers to get back to whatever they were into before SFIV.
Because it would encourage a resurgence in the game and get the memo to Capcom that Street Fighter III DOES NOT SUCK and we want the series to be more in this vein, not the "lame it out" that SFIV has perpetuated.
it has never been a case of SFIII sucking, it's the hordes of casuals who got onto the "fighting gamez are da shitz" bandwagon over the past year or so (who also prolly make for at least half of SFIV/Super sales) that suck.
I bet most of the people posting in these threads didn't even know SFIII existed til SFIV came out.
What's wrong with fighting games having more exposure? It means bigger and better games coming out for the serious community to enjoy. And in the meantime, people who take them moderately seriously can enjoy slaughtering those who don't (like when I went 30-0 during the midnight release at my local Gamestop).
And 3S will never be for casuals. My previous roommate, who played IV with me CONSTANTLY (2-3 hours every single day) could not fucking stand 3S in the slightest, which granted was mostly due to him not understanding the parry mindgames.
I think the problem was that last gen, unless you owned a Dreamcast, the only means of playing SF3 on Xbox/PS2 was via the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, and I rarely saw the thing at all in any of the vidya game shops in my area.
Regardless, I got my fix of it at college two years back. We had all three revisions scattered about campus. Problem was that outside of 2-4 people they weren't played much, everyone just huddled around the MvC2 machine.
