Really.. two chances. I did not know this. Since I can (I think) get skillups from using Sacrifice.. maybe this is the way to go. >_>

Wait you can get Conjurer skill up by using a spell from another class?
You can.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that you don't get 2 chances of skilling up if the same regen tier or a higher one is already active on targets.
I.e. spamming Sacrifice 1 on full HP people will net no SP chances after the first cast, but Sac 1 > Sac 2 will.
If you have THM leveled and use slow, you get skillups all the time (AoE levequest mobs :D) Sacrifice proc'd skillups much more often than cures in exp PT, so I'm definitely vouching for its use.
I've seen pretty much only talk about playing CON as a healer, but has anyone tried out playing CON like a BLM?
Although I don't have an incredible amount of time with this game yet, low level CON nukes are doing INSANE damage.
CON and THM nukes start off great but once you reach rank 15 or so you'll have to choose between focusing on INT/PIE to keep their damage on a good level (INT makes a huge difference on high level mobs) or VIT/MND for survability.
Since more death = less SP, having less than 80 VIT and 60ish MND will greatly hinder your survability later on.
tl;dr you're better off pumping VIT and spamming Dart/Cures, at least for grinding purposes.
I have 40 MND and VIT at rank 20. Have the rest in PIE/INT and just nuke away all day.
Nothing really kills me and getting Firm Conviction, as soon as I get more THM guilmarks, should help.
Besides, you shouldn't be fighting stuff that hits you for over 600 anyways.
My skillups also seem a lot more consistent while nuking than when I use dart spam + damnation. I just mix it up now.
And yeah, even on CON I prefer using Sacrifice II over cures. Skillups seem a lot better that way.
Ofcourse that might just be how I experience it, but hey, works for me.
Do the people who are 25ish grinding in groups mind giving away where they are exping? currently doing crabs but i would prefer a mob that does a "safe" aoe so i can get more chance of skill ups over time.
Try buzzard-type mobs of any type and have people stand in front.
Well guess I have to choice to rush THM up to conjurer now
Should go for it. Elemental Siphon, Firm Conviction etc. It's a good combo, THM with CON abilities and the other way around.
It's like having a RDM with better nukes, or a BLM with good cures and enfeebles. Whichever way you want to see it.
And they both pretty much use the same attributes too.
Hmm, I'm wondering if I should stop CNJ at 30 (9K to 30) and switch to THM as main. That would give me access to poisona, paralyna, silena, protect, shell, cure 2, tier 2 nukes, fast cast, and other shit.. hmmm. Interesting.
I'm just doing both and goldsmithing.
Mainly cause I want to main THM but seeing how good Shell is already I kinda want to have Shell II aswell. Along with Burst and Freeze.
Once I hit fatigue on one, go to the other, and when I have it on both, do crafting.
Also saves me macros cause I basically use the same skills on both jobs. And having them close together means I will have the same amount of action points.
I kinda wanna see mass fear though. Especially after playing Aion as much as I did -.-
Anybody have access to the ancient magic yet? I wanna know how strong flare and the others are.
Probably a bit too early to talk about this but...
THM gets its own ancient magic nuke as well, but seems like CON could use it better if it doesn't suck when subbed:

Given the MP costs they better not suck.
So um I remember people saying you loose AoE bonus if you use Conjurer spell on exemple a Gladiator
But is it normal that if I am on THM Cure I, Protect, Shell and SS are all single target?
While When i am on CNJ, Slow Dia and Sacrifice are still AoE?
Yes I did the /Aoe on command
Thaumaturge abilities seem to be Frontal Conal whereas Conjurer are more area around of where spell was used. Try it out -
Switch to Conjurer, select a player and heal yourself from about 10 yards away or whatever, it will not hit the player in your group, switch to thaumaturge in the exact same positions and Cast the Spell on yourself once again, the spell will hit the person.
I don't know if this is intentional or not but it makes healing from range a hell of a lot easier on thaumaturge cause you just stand behind the target and heal everyone, where as on Conjurer i have to be pretty close for AoE spells to work to its max effect.
My party members were on top of me and they diddn't got hit
Being on top of you is not frontal conal, you have to stand behind them or they will not get hit.
