Hitting people can be annoying, but Cure for me is AoE/conal (I can hit multiple people).

Really wish/hope they relex the AoE conditions a bit though, THM has longer range but could really do with a small AoE circle around them/target just to make it a bit more practical (that and auto turning, the 'You are not facing the target' crap gets annoying)

A visual indication of the extent of the AoE would be wonderful too. Didn't FF12 do this?

Chrono Trigger did! Just have a semi-transparent dome around the targeted area that you can adjust through color/transparency/ect. Presto.

Edit: Shit, my bad. I forgot. Doing things like this takes away from the hardcoreness of the game. Nevermind!

Would give the light show you get while using TPs a use. Just have the circle of light change size/shape for the AoE/Cone of the spell that is being cast (for party members only), could even extend it to WSs to show their AoE radius etc

Ratatapa, my friend and I encountered this on conjurer main a few days ago. we were both lvling conjurer but his cures would not hit me unless we were standing well out of AoE range on oposite sides of the mobs. My cures hit him no matter where I was (far and close) and his cures would only hit me when he was far away.

I have duoed with my wife for 20 lvls and we always stand on top of eachother, but with him we had to spread to oposite sides of the mob.

So im now hitting rank 15conj, still not seeing any oppurtunities to party, doing all of my leves in 5 stars always at this point. I recall reading on in earlier posts this should be the lvl I make my choice either healer or dd, to this lvl ive split my elemental points straight down the line, and focused almost entirely on INT and PIE, with keeping even both MND and VIT hp is roughly 690 and mp is around 750. Is it player choice at this point? Or can anyone higher lvl tell me what they have seen their biggest call come from.. Thanks!

My HP is 600ish at rank 19. Only times I really died was when I got one shot by mobs I shouldn't be fighting. Like when I was helping my bro on his rank 30 leves.

Although, I do have more INT and PIE than VIT and MND, I am currently spending my points in evening it out and going VIT/PIE/MND/INT evenly across the board to rank 50.

I do however also have THM up to 20 so MP is never an issue anyways with Siphon MP and as soon as the game stops giving me LNC guildmark leves, I'll get Firm Conviction too, which is just something I'd advise getting for every mage out there.
So it's not that I would need the HP or the MP but it does help with NMs in mind that might be able to (saying might be cause no one knows what's coming) one shot your low HP setup. And MND, although minimal, does help with cures and stoneskin etc.

Absolutely big help, I deff understand need for concerning end game ideals sooner.than later, played xi for 5 yrs. I will deff consider keeping up on my hp, mp can usually take care of itself. Also have u seen party play much? Any requests for dd or mostly healer?

I've done smaller parties mostly and keeping people alive while nuking away wasn't a huge problem. So even when you DD, as long as you keep them alive while you do it, no one should complain. Never had anyone ask something specific. You say CON, they say OK usually.

I can't help you with how 15 man parties work though. Haven't done any of those yet.
