    A few things about the elements I have noticed so far.
    Note that they might not be 100% accurate, please correct me if you have evidence they're not:

    -There are no actual "astral" and "umbral" elements, but they are a combination of fire/wind/lightning and ice/water/earth respectively;

    -Just like their FFXI's counterparts, debuffs are aligned to an element even though the game doesn't inform you of that. Silence is still wind-based, Slow earth-based and so on. This is suggested by the fact that elementals can cast the same debuffs they did in FFXI and that they seem to resist them pretty often;

    -Partial and full resists on nukes (NOT debuffs) do not seem to be affected by elemental defense. You can fully land something like Scourge on a Skeleton, but it will do less damage than normal;

    -While in FFXI, being "weak" to an element meant to have less chances of resisting it, in FFXIV a mob weak to a certain element actually takes extra damage from it. Cassiopeias take extra damage from Thunder and Skeletons from Banish to name a few;

    -Elementals do not have perfect resistance against their own element and the one they're strong against like in FFXI. Slow can actually land on Earth Elementals, though not as easily;

    -Allocating enough points in elemental affinities seems to have an impact on the resist rate and/or damage you take from that element (i.e. I had 80 wind resist and Aero II's landed for 0 on me pretty often; I had 15 fire resist and bomb-type mobs murdered me).

    I mean... really? Not only is this mentioned in the elemental wheel text at aetherytes, but also at the ??? book spot in the Thaums Guild. If anyone was actually doubting this... it is correct.

    Does Soughspeak effect Cures? I was almost positive Magic Potency up'd Cure Potency, just on the fact that I noticed a difference with upgraded weapons. But I can't notice a different when Soughspeak is up. (I dont notice a difference on nukes either, but thats too RNG'y to be considered conclusive imo)

    Blood Rite doesn't boost cure/sac as well iirc, either +- stats abilites are broken for it or healing is based on weapon m.pot and MND only.

    Profundity does nothing for cures either.

    When I used it extensively in OB and retail, I never pulled hate when curing while under its duration. I mainly used it for mid-fight cures, or to open a fight up safely with heavy nukes or something, but from what I noticed, it works well with cure in a pinch.

    I meant cure potency via its reduction in Magic Potency, not the enmity factor.. which I would imagine is across the board.

    Doesn't affect it. It cures the same regardless. That's even easier to test than enimity. I don't think any of the stats work right now aside from vit/mnd, so potency is a bust.

    Potency effects cures, already tested and confirmed. I was wondering about the ability. Guess it doesnt, or isn't reducing potency correctly.

    All stats work.

    All stats work? Dex works in this game for melee? All stats do not work yet, and if they do, certainly not properly.

    Yes they do. If you want proof that your accuracy increased from 75% to 78%... you're not going to find it. Pie is certainly noticeable for me though, along with everything else. Int increased damage, Mnd increased heals.

    Is there any reason to use elemental shroud over spirit dart? I've heard elemental shroud is the same as spirit dart but uses more of your bar. The AOE is apparently not working?

    at this time no one has noticed a difference at all, once they fix it it will likely be better for obtaining skillups

    What stat affects the dmg of Spirit Dart?

    I wanna level con slowly a bit and not have to readjust my stats all the time

    I cannot find anything other than the wand/staff that affect spirit dart, I tried alternating every stat by 80 once i hit lvl 20, couldn't see a difference unless I changed weapons to higher lvl.

    I always assumed INT was for dart damage since it's an elemental attack.

    Anyone have experience soloing CON 20+? I heard today that once you get Bind, Paralyze, and Silence from THM28, CON can get crazy SP soloing. Has anyone here done/is doing this, and care to impart some advice on it? My CON is 20 and THM 27, and any time saved from figuring it out as I go would be very much appreciated. What mobs are best, stat allocation, etc.

    Paralyze is a terrible spell. Long recast and it barely ever procs.
    Silence is nice for elementals, I guess. Not sure about Bind, but in a game where everything has ranged attacks I can't see it being very useful for grinding.

    My understanding of that method is that the main purpose of the THM debuffs is not the actual effect itself, but the fact that they can proc SP gains comparable to those from a DoW weaponskill.

    Been slowly leveling both CON and THM, they seem to greatly complement each other.

    Any particular skills from DoW classes interesting enough to also grind for? To make a good mage, that is.
