OK thanks just making sure. 1500 on 8th spot BR Profundity Tier 2 sounds about right.

I'm always willing to test further, but I am also willing to bet that you won't. Consider that the bonuses are multiplicative, and that previous testing bore out ~1.8-2k Quick Nocks versus ~1.2-1.5k nukes in similar situations -- we should see proportionately similar results now that we have archers hitting 2.5k+ Quick Nocks.
It's not that I don't want CONs to be awesome damage, but there are so many more available buffs to physical DPS right now.
How is everybody allotting elemental points? I recall reading months ago in the Random thread that allotting more points to a single element will increase chances of getting shards/crystals of that element...Does that still hold? As a crafter I was wondering if that'll conflict with sticking points into Ice or Lightning for CNJ when I'll be needing a shatload of Fire shards/xtals instead.Halp me prioritize lol
hey sorry never played ffxiv (but ffxi) how do you get mp in ffxiv? i heard that you have auto hp regen while running etc but do you also have auto mp refresh or do you have to rest like in ffxi? '>_>
There is no resting. Abilities such as Siphon MP, TP Weaponskills, a 10-minute Cooldown to give you most of your MP back, and just standing with your weapon put away restores health and mana.
thank you,
and it restores mana too? did they change it in a update because a rl friend played the beta and he said that it only restored hp in the beta?
sounds good, i didnt like resting in ffxi >_> I am going to buy a new pc soon and maybe try ffxiv a while since its free atm anyway right?
I just started playing 2 months ago just about. Restoring HP and MP has always been there if your weapon isn't drawn. So I suppose the answer to your question is yes!
It was changed shortly after release. You receive hp/mp regen when in passive mode now, but that was not always the case. There was a time when mp did not regen naturally.
And it was a bitch before they added MP regeneration from idling. I just started playing again after six months and I smile every time my MP regenerates on it's own now.
Worth noting that you regen HP/MP while running as well but at a much slower rate, standing still for a few seconds and it starts the faster regen.
Also the amount you gain back with each "tick" is dependent on your max HP/MP.
do you have to set spells to aoe / single target mode or something? everytime i cast stoneskin or schock spikes on a friend its only single target, shouldn´t it be aoe for the whole group?
once you hit the AOE toggle button, it should stay on AOE until you manually hit the button again. At least that's what it was for me.
Were they too far from each other (if the AOE was on), cause there is a range for it.
ok thank you, i think i have to read some guides bevor i play again lol
So with 1.20 now, CON is the designated WHM. Yet their nukes aren't bad at all, they have Cleric Stance to buff it a bit, and Blissful Mind / Shroud of Saints give them more MP longevity than THM/BLM. When tank isn't in dire need of curebombs, I find a nuke or two doesn't hurt. Even going full-tilt in first phase of moogle fight, more or less. Thoughts from other CONs?
Also on Blissful Mind: it takes 25% current HP for the battery charge. However the more HP it takes, the longer it takes to get to golden icon status. Riding the timer will give ~600 MP, whereas if I'm full (2472 HP -> 618 MP) I have to wait a couple seconds. Wondering what to do then with filler materia slots: HP or MP?
No reason not to nuke during the first phase really, two cons can easily nuke down the gla moogle if the DD's combo and such, gets him out of the way before a moogle even pops.
To your second question I'm actually wondering that myself, I'll probably stick with mp either way..have 2 on my body already, might go ahead with hp on hands though.
With the latest updates and now that XP is shared between Shield/main class
As Conf should i use a staff, a wand or a wand + shield?
Thanls
Shield skills are learned as part of the Gladiator class. There's no more shield exp at all, so really just go with whatever gives you the best stats. I only play CNJ in the direst of cases, so I'm not sure but I believe a Wand of Tides with a Healer's Hand is probably the best bet. If you're in the Grid GC you can pair it with the Magic Accuracy shield.
Well im lv 12 atm ,but thx :D
What do you guys think about Materia for legs? I currently have a T4 materia with mnd/pie on my legs but I want to try to double socket a pair. I have a few friends saying MP is better, and others saying mnd/pie is. I'd like to figure out which is actually the better before going ahead with the double socketing though. Thoughts?
Actually, same question for belt. Is it worth it to stack the -enmity or just go with mp?
Orrrrrrr, i could stack mnd/int materia on it so they can double as thm pants..
Oh the choices!
