All comes down to personal preference at this stage of the game.

    INT/MND for nukers,
    MND/PIE for healers
HP for more hp and higher Blissful Mind
or more MP although I find MP is unnecessary given how high it is already unless you're double socketing 100+ and super stacking all other slots (400+)

I prefer super stacking HP. Gives higher Second Wind and Blissful Mind values. Better for survival and endurance fights.

I'm just curious as to why healers should use PIE in their setup. Could anyone give me a logical reason as to why I should use that over VIT?

PIE has some debuff (accuracy? potency?) going for it with a bit of MP. VIT buffs HP and enhancing magic, but the effects on the latter are pretty underwhelming imo. I prefer INT/MND on legs.

Last I checked, PIE gave 1:1 ratio on MP, as for debuff accuracy on CON, well I'll just say what debuffs? Heavy? Dispel? In a party environment, seems like all CON does is heal and buff. Personally I feel VIT outweighs PIE as secondary/triary stat for CON because of the sole reason of better buffs. Higher DEF rating from Protect and more absorption from Stoneskin. Those to me seem like a better trade off than spell accuracy considering the tasks at hand given to me from my role. Thank you though for your insight, Seravi, as for I did the same with x2 meld on pants with INT/MND.

Off-topic, but do you guys think SE will implement new materia for legs now that auto-attack damage comes from different stats? IE. STR/INT materia, DEX/PIE materia, etc..

The "physical" stats weigh in more heavily for melee damage from what I've seen/read, so I'm unsure on additional materia there. It's a possibility for the AF though.

I'm not really sold either way on PIE vs VIT. Debuff land rate (of which Aerobleed and sometimes Heavy is useful) is high enough on Moogle, Ifrit less so but not as needed. I guess with VIT you also a little HP but the bonuses to SS/pro seem really small. Probably an oxymoronic statement considering the rush for attribute stacking. Since I'm on the fence for VIT/HP/MP on body I might just go with VIT.

Thank you all for the answers, much appriciated. Decided to go with mnd/int, one because it'll work for my thm aswell, and two because the int should help out with my nuking on cnj which I do in the moogle fight.

I see a bunch of people with Wand of Tides, is that simply for the MND+? Is there a definitive answer w. Jade Crook vs. Wand etc?

As for focusing on stats, I asked LS but I've forgotten: Heal Potency -> MND -> MP -> PIE/VIT? in terms of stats to stack? '~'

If I had the money and carpenter50, I would try to make a jade crook with healing potency IV x2 meld. As for the rest, possibly Felt hat of the mind with MND IV x2 meld, felt bliaud with PIE / MP melds, woolen tights with x2 MND/INT or MND/PIE melds, boarskin of thunder with x2 IV magic crit potency, and MP or Magic attack on shoes. Personal preference though.

Why MND on hat instead of cure potency?

It's just personal preference, I like to make sure I have a good blend of stats. Even though it doesn't give a great amount of healing magic, it also adds magic accuracy and a stat to modify healing. All purpose stat if you will.

There is no "best gear" for con as there are a ton of options on how you can currently play con. If you prefer pure healer then you'll want raw HP/MP more than anything. Nuking style will want elemental wands, INT and atk potency and Macc. Mnd and cure potency from my personal eyeballing doesn't make that big a difference with anything that matters. Your cura are gonna land somewhere between 1000 and 1150 with crits around 1300+ regardless of gear.

Con play will mostly come down to mp management. Having some Nuking gear will benefit alot as sometime you'll be needing to use cleric stance and nuke a bit. Con Nuking isn't half bad and they have alot of mp Regen

May be because with wand they can have a shield + materia equipped.

I have both wand and crook in my inv, but don't play CNJ much.

With CON you want HP really for higher Blissful Minds (Blissful Mind is 25% of your HP in MP)

Wand of Tides is good for the MND I guess. Jade Crook's best materia option is MND (or Mcrit I guess, but kinda lacking), where wands get healpot, enmity, macc, even MP. Wand element doesn't matter too much (attack, matk etc don't sway numbers that much), just that it is a wand and you like the stat it gives.

I'm using Wand of Tides simply because it adds a little MND to go along with my Healing Potency. Jade Crook has Magic Crit.Rate on it, but you can't affix Healing Potency to it, just MND. I'd like to see more tests done to see the correlation between the two, but everything that has been done so far puts Healing Potency enough ahead of MND that I think the wand should come out ahead of Jade Crook.

Sorry for the bump, but my fellow WHM, I am in need your help. I'm finally down to only missing 2 crafted pieces and Darklight, so I'm looking to you as for what to do next with myself. My current gear is this:

    Main: Chiran Zabran's Tempest
    Off: N/A
Head: Felt hat of the Mind - melded with Healing Potency +33
    Body: AF
    Hands: Serpent Sergeant's Mitts (HP+15 MND+8, If 3 pieces: Healing Potency+9
    Waist: Serpent Sergeant's Belt (HP+12, VIT+3, INT+3; used as a trigger piece)
    Legs: AF
    Feet AF
    Ears: Blessed Earrings
    Neck: Black Pearl Choker +1
Wrists: Serpent Sergeant's Bracelets (HP+45, If 3 or more: MND+7)
    L.Ring: Blessed Ring
    R.Ring: Turquoise Ring

Looking to upgrade to a Turquoise Ring+1 and some Mahogany Pattens with single/multi-meld Sound of Serenity for cure macroing. Of couse I still need the Darklight Hands/Legs for Enhancing spells, but I'm wondering if I'm missing any other key pieces. I'm trying to keep macro pieces to 3 or less because of latency so should I try to swing an Enhancing Magic materia and meld it to my head and pair that with Darklight, or not worry about a third piece?

    Thanks!

Hmm.. I guess you're going for max enhancing build or something? I am not sure how much experience you've had with healing in the current end game environment, but the reality of it, coming from someone who has almost exclusive played it since this latest patch (me), is that over-microing this class has no real noticeable benefit. I would seriously commend you on going out of your way to make every cure count. That's really passionate, but my take on WHM is a blend of survivability and Blessed Mind building with HP+ gear. Here's a loadout for that which I hope gives you another view on how to play the class.

Main: Mogwand (for m.acc for nuking--yes you do nuke as WHM) / Any Wand (meld: Healing Potency x2)
Off: Raptorskin Targe (meld: HP x2)
    Head: Healer's Circlet
    Body: Healer's Robe
Hands: Darklight Gloves (enhancing+) / Ringband of Tremors (meld: HP x2)
Waist: Raptorskin Belt (meld: HP x2)
Legs: Felt Gaskins (meld: HP x2)
    Feet Healer's Culottes (regen bonus)
    Ears: Blessed Earrings (HMP+)
    Neck: Stonewall Choker (HP+40)
    Wrists: Raptorskin Wristband +1 (HP+60)
    L.Ring: Blessed Ring (HMP+)
    R.Ring: Stonewall Ring (HP+40)

I haven't changed my setup since the latest materia was added but it might be worthwhile to do if you want to get more potency out of regens/stoneskin. Personally I don't find Healing Magic Potency all that great in 2-healer setups. Solo heal... don't see it mattering much either tbh as in a lot of those situations, you'll be running cleric stance in nuking gear to throw extra damage out (vast majority of the time).

As a WHM I find being able to take the extra hits and charge the extra MP in Blessed Mind is greater than trying to cure for 1600+ consistently, especially with Regen on all the time. Dunno how others feel about that so I thought I'd provide another perspective on WHM.

This is what i fulltime most of the time except in Chimera.

Main: Garuda's Wile / Chibran Zabran for chimera.
    Off: Aubriest Allegory
    Head: Double INT Felt Hat
    Body: Healer's Robe
    Hands: Mage's Halfgloves
Waist: Raptorskin Belt (meld: HP x2)
    Legs: Double INT Felt Gaskins
Feet : Fulltime Wind Potency +30 feet, macro'd AF feet for regen.
Ears: Mage's earring / Blessed Earring for Chimera
Neck: Tourmalline Choker (Wind Potency +25)
    Wrists: Raptorskin Wristband +1 (HP+60)
L.Ring: Mage's Ring / Blessed Ring for Chimera
    R.Ring: Zircon's Ring+1 (INT+18)

WHM nuke isn't to be underestimated!

A smart WHM can definitely do a lot of nuking during most fights, since the bulk of regular incoming damage is handled by Regen/Stoneskin.

For a fulltime healing set, I'm aiming for capped Regen using Sound of Certainty in the head, DL gloves/breeches, Amber Ring +1, Amber Bracelets +1, etc. Looks like Militia Belt will be coming in one of the new hamlets.

Maximizing enhancing without sacrificing pieces for full healing potency is what I was shooting for, yes. I've been playing WHM since I rerolled back in 1.18, but I'm always looking for ways to maximize my output, so I appreciate the response.

Something you bring up that I'm very curious about the general consensus of is: is a riding HP gear full time a worthwhile trade off in place of VIT/MND/Heal Potency/Enhancing Potency? Right now I'm at 2503 solo, 2753 in party so a Blissful Mind of 688. Double melding low teirIIIs would give me 80HP per piece and with your accessories would set me at 3213 and a Blissful Mind of 803. The trouble I'm having building a set like that/committing to removing pieces in favor of that is I rarely use Blissful Mind other than an ocrap situation. With that said, I have not been familiar with WHM nuking other then pre-HF Ifrit/Stage 1 Moogles. Even still taking that into account I'm not sure I would want to give up that much gear for 115MP back in Blissful Mind when I could get more out of it in other pieces.

I'll definitely look at bringing in more of my THM gear for nuking now, though. Is WHM nuking applicable in all fights, or are there still some that you just want to focus on curing only in?
