Kaeko basically said that after 460 he was over 90% accurate? but below 460 the accuracy drop off is pretty harsh, finding the magic evasion of a specific mob and breaking the threashold.

This idea of being highly resistant up to the specific number also leads me to question evasion rates and magic evasion rates and a proper gear setup to beat an NM's accuracy/magic accuracy numbers through a materia build.

I was eyeballing when making the 460 call. For something as potentially important as MACC, I would probably want to look for better data before going all out for a 460 build. I've done a lot more Ifrit since making that 460 call and some people in my group have complained about resists even at 470+. I currently use 475 now.

On another topic, anyone notice that the PUG traits that increase Featherfoot and Second Wind by 25% are inaccurate? They say +25% but clearly give +50%. Featherfoot from 140MP to 211MP and Second Wind from 580-600 to 850-900.

I'd assume it's the same as Sanguine Rite saying it gives -50% damage taken but is really (~25%?): typo or really meaning "additional/total" x%. Or somebody messed up numbers. If it's different in JP/French/German clients, it could be a localization error.
Keen Flurry on LNC is similar: it's -50% recast by default, trait says -50%, but really makes it no recast.

I was playing with THM finally on Ifrit and was at 452 magic accuracy. I was almost 100% accurate when the CON evasion down from stona was up not sure if that should be accounted for in your build. I was still seeing near 90% accuracy with my setup the way I had it. Which was great because I only needed a single hells eye IV on the head and I was using verdant for weapon.

With my setup the way I had it I was still able to push enough DPS to ride the hate line the entire fight. I do use -11 emnity on my belt but it was a pug group and the tank was good but not exceptional. I was seeing 50+ DPS into nails phase when I was lucky with few jumps and few cracks on me. Our best ARC's have done a few runs saying they were around 30-35dps till it started getting jump crazy. Pretty positive THM has the highest dmg ceiling for Ifrit. Really fun to actually nuke down ifrit and the instant cast combo is really nice for the fight dealing with the eruptions and abilities.

FYI The Meva down is from stone, not stonera, you can try and land it yourself if you've got the mp and/or the CON is busy.

Any tips for THM on Moogle fight? Should we just nuke down the GLD and MRD and then sit around regening our MP for phase 2? In phase 2, are we basically just casting Blizzara on the GLD and MRD moogles?

You can help nuke down some moogles if you've got the MP for it.

Can open phase 2 with a nice Blizzara and hit all the lesser moogles with dark seal I've bound all of them at once. This really makes the start of phase 2 easy. Gives the tank a lot of time to work on getting back hate on the MRD/thf/bard etc while taking very little dmg. Usually the first target is already dead before bind wears.

You can thunder/thundara really well on MRD/GLA and to a lesser extent the other mele's but the whm and blm I tend to just rest mp for since they seem to have a much higher magic resistance.

phase 1 I make sure to go all out on the GLA and MRD spam that thunder>thundara combo only.

I vouch for EScepter w/Hell's Eye for Ifrit, LBrand w/INT for everything else.
If you have to pick one on a budget I'd say Escepter.

edit: v - Cheaper but I mean the ideal scenario is to get both. If I had to pick one it'd be scepter. One of the two at least.

Brand w/ INT. Use some M.Acc. rings and a M.Acc hat and you should have plenty of M.Acc to deal with Ifrit.

According to a dev post (hard to find but can search later), the after added effects from nukes, i.e., bind from Blizzard is governed not by magic accuracy but your piety. In which case Dark Seal will not help with your binds. You may have noticed added effects will land even if the spell is (partially) resisted. It is for this reason I suggest INT then PIE for your stat distribution because MND and magic accuracy is easy to get via materia and select gear pieces.

    Edit: found post

JP side has a thread saying there is only sleep spell and there is a stat called Enfeebling Magic Potency Up... so what gives?? and Poice on that thread had a good question so Mocchi (Rep) answered his question.

Poice: Does Sleep or Repose effectivness be affected by PIE - Enfeebling Magic Potency? This is really important for crowd controllers so wanted to check. Also if it was affected by enfeebling magic potency that means Dark Seal > Sleep is useless right?

Rep: Magic such as Sleep/Repose's effect is affected by Magic Accuracy and for additional effects from such as Aura Pulse with Additional "Slow" effect WS's enfeebling effect is affected by Enfeebling Magic Potency. For that Reason "Dark Seal > Sleep" is correctly being affected by Dark Seals effect.
Rep says "enfeebling magic potency" which can only be raised with PIE currently
