The good thing about this update is that our shield levels will finally catch our sword skills. Went from 19 to 20 in no time.

Ya I noticed this last night on my 15 GLA, I did 2 leves and my sentinal went from 2-5 and I didn't use Guard one time and it still skilled up. Very nice for the GLAs!

I have like 100k gla guild marks, I havent bought any swordsmanship yet but is it worth it? Do I even need to be collecting marks anymore?

You won't need any more than like 88,000 marks to buy every ability/trait for one class... and you'll get at least 7000 of those marks from class quests.

Swordsmanship (can only buy one) allows you to use GLA-only abilities on other classes (they will be nerfed pretty hard with such low affinity)

Yeah, each class can spend a bunch of marks on 1 trait that allows your other classes to use its abilities. I'm not sure what you mean "stuck with it forever." You don't have to equip the trait if you don't want to. All abilities/traits/training manuals are permanent 1-time purchases. For all we know, they plan on adding Swordsmanship II, III, IV, etc. so you can actually get close to that 100-affinity maximum by equipping them all at once on a different class. Just that Swordsmanship by itself isn't enough to get anywhere near 100 affinity (full power). Just enough to give access to Gladiator-only abilities by having Gladiator affinity greater than 0.

I believe that 10x purchasing was found out to be complete bullshit. If something is yellow'd-out on the guild marks purchase list, you either haven't "unlocked" it yet via quests, or it's simply sold out.

I dont know if it's that he mean, but what I understand with all your saying, is that if I buy the one for Gladiator affinity, I can't buy the one for Pugilist... Can you buy all the ability that give Affinity? if you can, can you equip more then one, like have the one for Pugilist and the one for Marauder on your Gladiator...

You can buy them all but I don't think they are unlocked until after you do one of the rank 30+ class quests.

I didnt quite get it either which is why I asked. But I guess hearing people saying you can only buy 1, actually means u can only buy 1 upgrade of it, but in fact u can definatly buy all affinities from every class?

Yeah, you aren't restricted to buying one affinity-related trait.

You are, however, limited to buying one "Swordsmanship" and one "Seasoned Veteran" and one "One with Nature" et cetera.

And yeah, as stated above, it's the last thing unlocked via class-quests. So it'll be a long while before anyone's going to collect them all.

Where did you guys get the idea that the affinity traits would allow you to equip class specific abilities on other classes? Does not work, at least not on CON or THM, not sure why it would on GLA. Does GLA even have a class specific ability?
