When cross-classed, did Bloodletter previously do fixed damage when the effect wore? The damage is extremely variable now (I've gotten anywhere from 65-450).

Was poking my head around looking for an ARC and found this, but it's dated as 1.18 patch. How much if any isn't relevant anymore and how much is still very relevant? My wife is having a hard time figuring out what she needs to start working on post ARC, so this guide looks like a great start, but I didn't know if there were things that weren't really useful anymore or if very useful buffs were found post 1.19 for ARC.
Arc dmg is still good. Not godly like before but a few things to note.
-Multi-arrow shots grant no extra tp generation. Shooting three arrows is the same tp as shooting one arrow.
-Buffs on multi-arrow is pointless as the buff is divided between all arrows. (Shoot 1 arrow = 300 dmg, shoot 3 arrows 120 each). So save buffs for WS
-Bow and arrow dmg matters now, better arrow = more dmg
-I believe bloodletter got nerfed don't know exact value. Use to be 500 at end now its like 274?
I think my Bloodletters do about 367 or so now. Which is not horrible like everyone will lead you to believe. The problem with Archer right now is that it's only looked at through Ifrit-fight goggles...
Archer is currently more about being able to avoid most/all damage while doing decent damage in the meantime... which just isn't the case for Radiant Plumes and Eruption.
Plumes and Eruption are all that matters, so what it your point?
With an Ifrit bow and cobalt arrows the damage is great on single mobs. Even without materia gear. But where ARC fails the most is in AoEs. We have no good damage AoE WSs. Just can't compete with a MRD in a stronghold, or even a LNC.
I know 1.20 is right around the corner so this kind of analyzing gear may be moot in a matter of weeks, but is approximately what a 50 ARC should be shooting for now? Guide was very helpful, I'm just trying to bring the gear up to date. Hands and Legs I'm unsure on.
Bow: Ifrit’s → Crab+3 → +2 → +1 → NQ
Bow Materia: Savage Might III/IV
Arrow: Cobalt
Head: Sipahi Turban → Helm of the Lone Knight → Silver Tricorne → Nighthawk Visor
Head Materia: N/A
Neck: Dated Mythril Choker
Body: Rainmaker’s Tunic (Blue)→ Mercenary’s Acton → Eternal Shade
Body Materia: Savage Might III/IV
Waist: Penance
Hands: Fingerless Raptorskin Gloves (White) → Felt Bracers (Blue)→ Sipahi Gloves → Mercenary’s Mitts
Hands Materia: Heaven’s Fist III/IV
Legs: Mercenary’s Slops → Felt Trouser’s (Red)
Legs Materia: Swordsman’s Cry III/IV
Feet: Colbalt Plated Caligae (Green) → Mythril Plated Caligae (Brown) → Sipahi/Mercenary’s/Bladedancer’s
Feet Materia: Bloodthirst III/IV
Wrists: N/A
Rings: Dated Garnet Ring x2
I think Felt Bracers with materia would be better than Sipahi gloves, but the rest looks good.
I feel like I'm the only one in the game who wears these, but what about Fingerless Raptorskin Gloves (White)? They have a natural Attack Power +4 on them... Most definitely better than the little bit of STR, DEX, or Accuracy on all of the other high-level gloves, and they are for all DoW (unlike Vambraces and Mitt Gauntlets). With a single piece of Heaven's Fist IV, mine are now at Attack Power +30.
Honestly I passed over those when looking at gear. I reformatted the list I made to make it a little less cluttered with having materia on the same line. Something else I noticed when looking back over the guide Lancaster posted was a strong focus on VIT when stat allocation was possible. Should I be focusing on adding some VIT with materia or was just a way to bump HP when you could do it in bulk?
I have not tested STR gains on anything but LNC vs attack power gains but for LNC the STR is superior. Rough estimates say 2STR=3attack power.
Agreed the gloves for arc should be fingerless raptorskin
DEX might be the mod for ranged damage:

I've been hearing this... but I lacked the raw DEX gear to give it a test... maybe I'll dig something up.
Because I didn't have any on me and I didn't feel like repurchasing the 3 rings I just recently converted? I literally lacked it, not that I lacked the capabilities of purchasing/obtaining it. Sheesh.
