AltanaView + Laptop = Nothing?

I'm not sure if this is a laptop problem, a problem with my laptop or video card specifically, or if it's a Windows 7 problem. I have Run As Administrator box checked in the Compatibility tab of the Properties menu. Unfortunately, even so, every time I've tried booting up AltanaView, nothing happens. At all. Well, okay, the program seems to be running in the task manager, but I can't Alt+Tab to it and the window is nowhere to be found.

System Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) II Dual-Core Mobile M500, 2200 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200
ATI display adapter (0x9712), ATI Technologies Inc.


Any ideas?


EDIT: Oh, and Model Viewer does actually work, but it doesn't have the animations, sound files, etc. like AltanaView has.

Try different versions, the one from KI I know works:

Pop to the last page on the thread and get the June 2010 lists there as well.

Make sure you have the latest DirectX installed as well. I'm running it on a HP Pavillion dv7 laptop with Vista which is similar to your specs with no problems, so I suspect its a problem with the exe rather than your card.

To be honest, I forgot there was one already. But it didn't have any results related to AltanaView, so I suppose it's still relevant.

Back on topic, however: I download specifically from KI when there's an update. But just to be sure, I downloaded a new one from there and it doesn't work.
