Actually quite a few people like the scoring in my league, hence why they stay in the league... as I already mentioned it's been an evolution over several seasons and I've incorporated several very good suggestions of my league members into my scoring system. It has come a long way and I'm pretty satisfied with how it has evolved.

I just can't believe you're making such hilarious remarks about how awful it is... oh wait... nevermind I know what you think is a "good" scoring system so scratch that.

In Tyche's awesome scoring system, all of these score 5 points:

    - A QB who goes 20-47 for 138 yards, throwing 1 TD and 3 INTS

    - A RB who rushes 30 times for 25 yards

    - A WR who has 2 catches for 68 yards

    - A kicker who makes a 50 yard FG

    - A defense that allows 7 points and gets 1 sack

Conclusion: A WR has a game that if he had a similar game throughout the season he would have a 1000+ yard season and an elite defensive performance is equal to a kyle boller suckfest, a RB who averages barely over 1 yard a carry, and a kicker who makes 1 FG.

Yeah OK your scoring system rocks!!!

I should also asy that for as much as I rip volc's scoring, the league is really well ran, very competitive, and the payout system is unique and nice. It seems I'm being a little harsh on Volc, and I don't mean to be.

200 yards receiving was 11 points.

200 yards rushing was 11 points.

What's the issue? You just want the numbers to be bigger? Or is it the TD weighting which has been the same for most leagues since the inception of FFB?

Oddly enough, the thing I hate most about your league is that a RB can have one rush for 70 yards and get da,m mear 20 points in a single play edit (without scoring a TD).

So I thought it was funny you brought up the 2 catch WR.

Which, of course, is right on par with a RB who has 5 rushes for 50 yards.

I keep checking this thread to see if anyone has started talking about draft dates, but keep seeing discussions on scoring systems. I'm going on vacation the week before the season starts, so that's of far more concern to me than the scoring system.

Seems to me the scoring system doesn't matter much so long as I know what it is before the draft. Shrug.

    edit 2:

So yeah I never played in any BG leagues, usually due to forgetting to check threads and missing the signup deadlines for the past 4 years

I've won a couple efnet community leagues, and I run a local 20 person one too.

Would be nice to get a spot somewhere

What is the reasoning behind doing Snake for the money league instead of auction draft? Auction seems more fair and strategic, and since it is a money league we don't need to worry about people not showing up for the draft.

If everyone's comfortable with an auction, I'm all for it. I'd hate for someone's first auction draft to be a cash league though.

They have practice drafts on ESPN usually, not sure if they are available yet.

lol, I'm not doing my first auction in a cash, don't really like the idea of auction anyways.

I've always drafted snake and always performed, so whatever.

After 4 rounds, everyone stops caring. Mocks are typically terrible unless you do them with people you know.

Have you ever tried a mock auction draft?

Yeah, same thing pretty much. When the talents starts to thin out, noone really cares or goes AFK. I understand it in auction though, as it takes so damned long.

The worst is when people leave the damn window open and don't autodraft. You have to wait the entire time before it autoselects.
