The draft will probably be off-line. Yahoo only has limited draft slots. We'll discuss draft times.

Has Tyr gotten around to restarting BGE and BGP?
And perhaps another concept to argue about (instead of point systems, if you are looking for a break): What about a BPL type deal for BGE/BGW/BGP? Something like what I posted a few pages ago.
Hopefully that doesn't break out into another 10 pages of arguments...
Tyr posted on the first page, so he'll probably get around to it.
I'm sorry, but if a player rushes 10 times for 60 yards and another player rushes 20 times for 60 yards, they both shouldn't score the same amount of points which would happen in the standard system you just proposed. The argument is way more retarded looking at it from this perspective as obviously the player averaging 6 ypc is helping his team more than the guy averaging 3 ypc and they shouldn't be equal. In the NFL the higher your yards per play, the more likely you are to move the chains and score points, and the more likely you are to win. It's pretty simple and I don't understand why people who swear by standard scoring systems can't grasp this and translate the concept to fantasy football, because every other major fantasy sport does this in some way (baseball = batting avg, hockey = save %, basketball = fg% and ft%).
OP is updated with who's in the money league and who's paid. Money league is up and running, PMs are sent, due date for funding is set. If you want to discuss any of the matters of the league, money/settings/free agents/etc, do so on the league message boards.
Volc, you got the last word on defending your league scoring, as you should. I'm washing my hands in the scoring arguments.
haven't read the last 16 pages (totally missed the thread for the last week) I am down for running BGW again.
I'm definitely interested in joining BGW this year.
I want my same spot like I have every year so I can get my ass kicked just like I do every year, it's special to me.
Slowly climbing the ladder though, this year I'll finish 7th. In 2016 I'll finally win. Fuck yeah. Keep hope alive.
If you were the one that ran it last year, then by all means go for it. Just make sure you renew the league through Yahoo as opposed to starting a new one. I'd be quick with it, so that we can find replacements for people who don't reup.
About BGP - I haven't seen Tyr post since that first page - did I miss anything?
I'm up for BG-West again this year - although I just want to do one league. Sorry I'm way late to this thread.
BG West recreated and invites sent to old managers.
I better get a BGP invite. >:O
Only doing those two leagues this year though, since I moved to Europe for a year. Save me spots in 2QB/IDP for next year though, tia. :3
Quick edit: Would it be possible to do a Saturday aft. draft for BGW so I can make it? 9PM EST is 3AM for me.
Forgot to say something here, I'd like to join one of these. I'm not new to it, but idgaf which league I play in. Didn't sift through all these pages, front page didnt list any specific info so gimme a holler or something lol.
Keep getting top 5 finishes in these BG sports leagues, time to fucking win one though.
If there's any spots in BGE, BGW or 2QB send me a PM prz. Been playing fantasy football and baseball with high school friends for years, and working on draft prep for my keeper league is getting me pumped for the season.
Got on BGwest
I'm going to win it this year!
I've been interested in doing this for awhile, I get the general idea of creating a fantasy team, I just don't know how the whole process works (drafting etc). I know these things vary league to league from what I can tell, but is there a good knowledge base I could take a look at that you know of?
Played Pick'Em last year and looking to get actually do the fantasy stuff this year. I would enjoy participating in one of the "open" leagues if that would work as well, I just want to get a better handle on it before I dive in.
AzazaelFenrir, I would give it 7 or so days for last year's participants to join in, and then if we still have open spots, invite the more experienced players that are asking for a spot in this thread.
Still haven't heard anything from Tyr re: BGP
A lot of sites should have free draft kits in PDF form. These will not only have some rankings, but also a general how-to more often than not. CBS Sportsline site/guide is particularity well done in that regarding, IMHO. Drafting is the biggest component to get down as it can make or break your season. So I would spend the most time doing mock drafts (again many sites do this) and going over draft prep kits.
Best way to learn is to dive in head first. Find some public leagues on Yahoo!, ESPN, or CBS Sportsline and just go for it. It'll get your feet wet and you'll learn a lot more that way.
