Looks like your average nq BLM to me. Only confusing part is the Hedgehog Bomb which could be sold to upgrade other stuff but that's not nearly as bad as most of the gimpshit blms I see running around.

Demon Helm +1 before Jupiter's Staff definitely rings of "wtf" to me. Reminds me of the guy who "led" the pickup ASA10 Fievel and I joined last night. Decent gear all around minus the lack of a refresh body for idle and for that matter any sort of idle set at all, but he had Snow Rings and NQ staves. Was very confusing and only got worse when we found out he didn't know where the battlefield was and he subsequently HP'd halfway through the fight. Good stuff.

idk about other servers, but on leviathan, demon helm+1 is 10k. might have something to do with it.

he just looks like a really, really poor blm. clearly he has the right idea, which is more than can be said for "true" gimps (people who have gear that just doesn't make any sense).

Then again, camping kings really means that you have to pay attention for 30 seconds every 30 minutes for 3 hours. Either or, depending on your situation, you could be doing something more productive in game for 3 hours then camping kings.

Well, naturally. If you're going for E Body, you're thinking a day 4+ Nidhogg and that's a minimum of 0-30 minutes (if you're gonna get a day 4, window 1-2 pop), and a maximum of 9 hours spent in Aery per week plus kill time, assuming you're getting claim 100% of the time.

This is all conjecture on my part though, I've never even seen Nidhogg, much less know how often he pops on day 4 onwards.

All I'm saying is I don't really understand the fascination with kings outside of D Ring and maybe Ridill. I'd take an event that rewards a near consistant amount of work (2 hours or so spread across the period of 2-3 weeks) to something where not only am I at the mercy of the mob's pop time, but also to competition, bots and shitty drama. Too many factors work against you at kings to make it worth it, I feel.

I got my king abjurations through Einherjar within 6 months of starting the event and never looked back. All for just wailing on mobs for 30 mins 2 times a week.

It's all about not having to be at the PC/PS2/PS3 for an extended period of time as it caters to people who don't really care to "play" the game. Fire up a DVD, play a game, do some homework/schoolwork and wait for it to pop.

Since Abyssea started spitting out 5/5/5 and 6/6/6 PDT/MDT/BDT rings, those have seemed like a more realistic goal to work towards. KB is a crapshoot, you either get Dring or get owned.

Ridill could very well become a pile of junk if magians continue in the direction they happen to be going. Nhead/Ebody/BB items are pretty much all that's left.
